How would I know in general if all of my components will fit in whatever case I bought? Thanks.

Check the case manufacturers product page for case specifications. You'll find everything there... motherboard form factor, GPU/cooler/PSU clearance, fans/AIO compatibility, etc.

PCPP does a great job using a detailed database listing all confirmed specifications for each product. Double checking against the official manufacturers specs is always a good idea.
