Amazing job. The nickle tubing looks spectacular. That distro plate is just awesome. Great work!
Congrats on the feature!
In order to deviate from the current thread I will let you know I like your build. I don't think there is any issue with your SSD mounting. There are slots to place parts right? It looks clean to me. Nice work!
Congrats on the feature! Nice build!
+1 for the air pressure leak testing!!! And great build!
I'm not usually a fan of mini ITX, but that case is pretty dope. Nice build +1
Nice prices, I think you did what you wanted.
Agreed, that was my exact thought.
Great color palate it is very fitting and +1. It looks great on your desk.
This is a great build. Save up for another stick of ram and it will last for a long time. Great work!
Nice! This is great clean build. The bends are slick. Uplifts are awesome, and it is nice to see you didn't include it in the part list.
Congrats on the feature! I had hoped it would be featured.
Just awesome! Nice work with soldering the power to the gpu. +1
Ha. Great description.
This is slick. Great work!
Great work. This is one of my favorites. I love to see custom built cases that have another use. This case should last you for years and years.
Amazing clean build and awesome cable management. This is just slick. +10
Nice theme and great work.
Nice work. The tubing looks great!
Another great budget build. I like the deal hunter better with all of its modern features and at it's price, but this is still a solid budget build. Thanks for showing off the budget builds.
Great budget build. I love seeing these. Keep up on the deal builds!
People don't get it. A 160 GB OS drive at 14.95 is what makes sense. And then the 500 GB at 44.99, You have to search for a 60 GB or 120 GB SSD at that price and then have no room for any games. Both work for your son's needs. Nice work.
Nice! Thanks for the link. Now I am off to search for mobo's.
Where where you able to find the Xeon at that price???? Great build. I am a fan.
Great setup. I'd love to have the time and components for a setup like this. Well done!
Nice work! I have a dell case sitting around. I may have to copy your methods.
Great mods! I can't wait to see when you get the rest of it finished up. One of my favorite builds on the site.
You'll have to mod it and paint it so it's ugliness doesn't ruin your build :)
Nice simple and easy upgrades for a dev box. I like it and 16 GB is necessary for development work.
Don't worry about the negative comments. You did what you needed to to get in where you wanted. You are right in my opinion that 16 GB should be standard. The board is a good choice for an upgrade path. And ssd's prices are coming down and eventually gpus will.
Great pictures to go along with the amazing build. Like everyone else has said, your cable management and sleeves are stunning. Great work and congrats on the feature!
Yep ^ Nice build
I think your choice of an M2 was good. Nice budget build with reuse of parts!
Probably because they picked it up for less than the i5-7600 that is currently at $209.99. The K runs at 3.8 GHz vs 3.5 GHz non k. It gives options for the future too with a simple MB swap.
Awesome. I will check it out when you upload.
Nice build. I have been thinking of a HTPC myself and your choices are great. I also like your ideas for next steps. I have looked at the 1030 for a HTPC build also and a tuner for PVR is what I would like also. I've planned much of the same for my HTPC build.
I really like the choices you make for affordable quality machines for everyday use and causal gaming. It is right in line with what I have looked at for my kids. Nice work.
This is a great affordable build with plenty of power. I have looked at most of these parts for my next budget build. I like the looks and all of the features. Great job!
Slick build. It looks great and has a ton of great features for the price.
Nice build at this price. Well done.
Oh yeah, I forgot to comment that I also like the picture featuring the hard drive cage swinging out, that is great for such a cheap case.
Nice work. You made great choices for their needs and at a great price point. This thing will blow them away. Again, nice work. Great build for this price range.
I can see why they sent that case. It looks amazing.
I moved one over today and it seems to have improved my memory benchmarks, so thanks for that! Are you running 4.5 GHz air cooled? I don't know if I want to push mine much further with just air cooling, but the temps seem pretty low at 4 GHz.
Not processor graphics, the motherboard has on board ATI Radeon 3000 graphics
You know, I wondered about the ram slots myself. I thought it was odd the coloring was different. I looked in the manual and didn't have any information on running at ddr, so I figured it would work in any orientation. I will switch them when I get some time. I had my son put on the fan so he could learn. I must have pointed to the wrong side. I have since moved it to the top.
My mobo is limited by DDR3 1866 MHz ram. I should have gotten a better mobo looking back, but it was so cheap compared to what I have spent on some miniITX for mobile ir7s recently I didn't care.
Thanks, I expected that and wasn't sure what to think about the FX myself, but I'm pretty pleased with it so far. Yeah, the gpu was just to have one in it I guess :)
