Comment reply on tydowntyty's Completed Build: Jankiest build ever!

Thanks xD I since got another PC to run the unraid archive, the bottom GPU was sold on eBay sometime back, and the r9 was upgraded to a rx 570 8gb. Makes a nice VR pc. Vrchat basically makes me feel whole.

Should I make a new build page?

Well... I don't use mail in rebates. Forgot to add that rule (I always forget).

I think your list does good for a CPU intensive workload but the GPU in mine could always be useful. Depends on user though.

6GB model should still be VR ready if I remember correctly. A R9 380 can still make it pretty far these days if your willing to turn down the settings, so go have fun and remember if push comes to shove to just get Reshade.

Ryzen 3 2200g should be about the same as a Ryzen 3 1300x just with an IGPU.

The ziptied fan is to big to fit on the heatsink and I need alot of air going on to that CPU.

You could say that GPU does actually mine often.

3.5TB of storage. Lots of harddrives.

That last sentence means: fantastic little workstation to pile some papers on and leave running overnight at your office if you want to start a fire and get away with it. Right? xD

I own that 600w PSU and have it in an overly hot room while under 70% to 99.99% load 24/7. Thing works perfectly fine.

So what's wrong with the 600w and B1 PSUs?

Good or Bad PSU? (Excluding price)

$70 mail-in rebate does not work for me. That makes your real total $481.49.

Tell me how it turns out! I'd love to hear!

I was asking because I knew that my computer with a FX processor has to have some type of driver installed in windows for full 3TB+ support.

How about "Haunted Red" for the name? Your GPU is the ghost and everything else is "Red".

Basicly your GPU encodes the video instead of your CPU. OBS supports it.

I like your thought by the way. Could be many uses for it.

I would say they might have some data stored because of price charts but I dont know how far back that goes. As for programming it in... Might take a while.

Comment reply on Forum Topic "Good air cooler for FX overclocking."

Actually the processor is perfectly fine at 4GHz. I'm doing this to pull what ever extra speed I can get out of it. The voltage for 4.4GHz was about 1.54v and I calculate the TDP to be 183 watts. It also made it 4 hours with the stock cooler under a pretty basic load. I was going to stress it but then I saw a new RvB episode and then I went off listening to music on YouTube for the rest of the 4 hours. I could see what would be stable VCore is for 5GHz and maybe that could help with a decision. Not all processors are made equally maybe I could get lucky and have similar power usage when compared to a FX-9xxx.

Im just trying to use what I have. I dont have alot of money if any for upgrading my PC.

If I were to upgrade to Ryzen im looking at 16GBs of RAM on one chip (I would want another later on and hopefully get to 64GBs one day), ATX motherboard (Probably Gigabyte because of the dual bios has saved me alot), and an 8 core Ryzen that I can OC to 4GHz (or higher) but I dont have infinite money. For now im stuck with an FX.

Now back to the previous topic. I dont need ice cold temps but I do want to not be overheating.

Wow. I feel the same. I have a FX-8320e (4GHz OC) and even under heavy load im usually maxed out at 60% usage on alot of new titles. Could just be my crappy GPU though. An i3-6100( or 7100)should be fine for most people.

(When I say crappy I mean old and glitchy)
