Man... don't tempt me...
Skulls for the Skull throne!
That's what drew me to the case aswell. Something a bit different. Plus, no GPU sag!
It would be rude not to!
I just finished a HTPC/server build that didn't really warrant a build log (although the case is awesome - Origen S21t), a couple of client builds in the pipeline (one Case Labs), logs to come if I get permission.
Next to none, had to think on it for quite some time before deciding how to plumb it all up and where to drill the holes for bulkhead passthroughs.
They are called cable combs. There are two main types - stealth combs, which have to be threaded onto the wires before the connector goes on and standard combs, which can be clipped on without removing the connectors. Hope that helps.
Overkill was definitely part of the theme :)
Very kind of you to say, thank you.
As soon as it's in service I surely will! Waiting on a sit/stand motorised desk and custom chair from work before I build the office (read: mancave) of my dreams :)
TCO!! Heyyyyyy buddy :) Cheers, I am humbled by the feature spot.
I purchased via reseller and tax was automatically added by them, so I haven't had the Galax experience, so to speak.
Not the point but quite a few people have said the same thing :)
Definitely overkill :P
Exactly that. It would definitely be Ti's if I was buying now, but the GPUs were purchased in January or thereabouts.
I was waiting on an Asus ROG bridge to paint white. I've just started using a basic bridge for now, until I can get my hands on a nice looking bridge.
Thank you for noticing!
77cm tall, about 100lbs when full of water. The wheels are a godsend :)
I highly recommend the case. The build quality is beyond anything I've owned before. The res is 'floating.' It's not using any brackets, it hangs off Monsoon lock collars. It's a risky design choice but the look it provides is unbeatable. More info here - https://youtu.be/tU1MoA3S30s?t=258
Yes, it was going to be too fiddly to hardline the pedestal, for maintenance purposes, but that was what I originally wanted to do.
Thank you that's kind of you to say.
I think there's some sweat and a few tears in there too :)
Will get the numbers for you as soon as I can.
Nothing makes the heart sink to the boots like a waterfall feature on a motherboard!!
I don't have benchmarks but if you want them I can run crystalmark or whatever you would like. If I was buying parts now, I would definitely go with an NVME drive over the PCIe m.2 drive.
Fair point - I've added a link to the build log. http://www.overclock.net/t/1529623/build-log-midnight-express-mercury-s8
