Happy to help :)
Enjoy your build!
Ok, thanks :)
Atleast the PSU is not a ticking time bomb :P
+1 for you :)
The Euro is doing a little better then the dollar, however everything over there is more expensive! I was helping a guy from Denmark a few hours ago and wow, his build would've cost $150 less here in the US.
I love funny RAM amounts, being different I see! Very nice, +1 for the 1st gen i7
That GPU price.... I.... I.... facepalm
I wish the US Dollar was like the Pound, everything would be much cheaper xD
I could just use the R4 case instead of the R5 and it goes down about 20 pounds
Me and BlockySquid came up with a final proposal. - http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/p/Hz94yc
And its only 3 pounds over budget :3
Well, this should be fun, give me about an hour, ill come up with something.
So from the lists you provided, basically a couple thousand?
May I ask.... whats your budget, if you have one?
Thank you! Everytime I suggest a PSU someone rips me to shreds about it, so I just kept what he had.
What happened to the Intel list I sent you? I don't remember it being $2,000 lol
The i3-6100 is one of the best CPUs for its price, preformed on par with an i5. I'd stick with the list you have.
You can also up your GPU to max out the budget if you want.
You might like this list right here - http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/p/4t8pt6
I put in the slightly more expensive R5, which is newer, and those 120 mm fans you picked out should fit in the front.
AOC aint that bad either, I got one on sale for $99.
I have the 600B which is the 600 watt version of that, and it hasn't died, so I guess what you have is fine as long as you don't put too much stress on it.
How much would you be willing to spend on the case? (US Dollars incoming :P) Usually anything more then $50 starts to get of some better quality. Ive heard that $70-90 is the sweet spot and over $100 is if you have like a $1000 budget or more.
Fully Armed and Operational Battle Station.
+1 to your build btw, very nice. :)
Yes, the other parts look fine, its mainly just up to the CPU.
I would ask someone about the PSU, Im not sure about PSUs as I always get them wrong.
I'm just going to stop answering questions about PSUs...
I would suggest you also get a different case, there isn't a lot of room for cable management in that case.
If Skylake wasnt out yet, then Id say those parts are fine EXCEPT for the PSU. Something Gold rated is better for gaming.
AMD - http://pcpartpicker.com/p/Wsc93C
Intel (Idk what your budget it, but this list can be changed to fit it) - http://pcpartpicker.com/parts/partlist/
Ill give you a quick review, it is structurally built well and has a nice window and all the necessary features, however what makes it mediocre is that the HDD slots are so close to the right panel that any cable management gets kinked down there, and the front panel is very hard to get off, I felt like I was going to break it.
Do you want to stick with AMD or would Intel work too? I can give you lists with both
Oh, you already got the case.... I was going to say get a better case as I have that one and its mediocre at best, everything else looks good.
K processors do not come with cpu coolers anymore, youll need to add that on. Do you need the Unlocked cpu?
Rough list to start with, can be changed - http://pcpartpicker.com/p/cZBkFT
It looks alright, idk why you would need 8 cores for gaming though.
Is it just for gaming? You could get the cheaper i5-6600 if its just for gaming and use the extra money for an SSD.
Wow, its like a Mini ITX build but MicroATX. +1
This is with a GTX 950, I changed the case to match the micro ATX motherboard - http://ca.pcpartpicker.com/p/NpdZt6
If you want a 960, you need to bring the budget down some on the Peripherals.
What other games do you play? I have a 960 so I can help you cut some budget if you don't need a 960. The 960 will run most games on max settings, a 950 you might have to bring it down a little for some, but overall still plays games well.
If you're worried about Cooler clearance in an ITX case, try the Thermaltake Core V1
The PSU goes below the Motherboard on this case so you have more room for a tall cooler.
The motherboard and memory are not available on the European site. When you make a build list for someone in Europe, make sure to change the top right option to Deutschland.
Ah, interesting, learn something new everyday :)
I hope your son enjoys his new computer, and don't forget to post it to the completed builds when you build it, all of us here would be happy to see it :) cheers!
What do you call the coins less then 1 Euro?
Like in the US its $1 and 25 cents.
A GTX 950 should run Minecraft just fine, you don't really need a 960 for that.
Sounds good, I thought the black was going with the theme with the other MSI card, but that G.Skill Ram is fine. ;)
I assume that you're only doing light gaming so this should do.
You could always get a 750 ti for $100 for a GPU and that would run everything fine.
You could try that one, its gold rated. I'm not familiar with Fractel Design PSUs so I would ask someone about it first.
Do you plan on adding a GPU later on? If not, that PSU is overkill
750 ti beats the 360 and the 260X... :/
