I've actually been looking around and i just found out about a sshd (ssd + hdd) that is like 120$ and 500GB that has speeds almost at the level of an ssd

I already have a cd drive from my parents home computer. the 6300 is my cpu of choice if getting a dedicated gpu. im probably going to get the 990 chip set on my mobo and i'm going to stick with a 430w psu from corsair. they have really high quality products. 750GB of storage is a bit too much for me so im only gettting 500 or 250 extra.

Comment reply on Forum Topic "why buy an i5 or i7 if you will have a dedicated gpu"

i dont need to add the extra 120 bucks for performance i dont need. thats why i have an apu... if i wanted the performance i would have a 7850 or a 7770 with an fx6300

Did you notice that i was going for a decent apu. Intel sucks for that. research... intel isn't everything.

One of the stupidest things i've seen... Cheap mobo?!?! please research before you comment on anything. mobo is one of the most important parts of a pc. nicer ones last longer and are much faster with a better chipset.

I currently have a summer job. (I'm a highschool boarding student). My parents will not help pay for anything on this at all. i only have like an 800 dollar budget. at the end of the summer i should have plenty of money to upgrade and i might only get an external hard drive to not have to deal with all the hassle installing the new HDD. I also see you, johnwaskins, and tejeers a lot. you guys know your stuff!

First I was thinking about a 500GB seagate barracuda but i realized how little memory i'm using on my laptop right now (64GB). adding a few games and more school work should only get to about 100GB of memory used.

http://pcpartpicker.com/p/AKzp 650 intel build. OVERCLOCK (thats what the fan is for)! this can perform like a 750-800 build if you overclock the cpu to at least 3.5 ghz. the gpu is at a good 1 ghz clock if you think you need to, you can over clock it.

http://pcpartpicker.com/p/AKqm If its possible to expand you're budget 50-100 dollars more, this is what i recommend. SSD is optional but your computer will boot so quickly and everything will be faster. Overclocking is a good idea if you want to max settings on any games you are playing. cpu cooler is optional but good for overclocking.

Windows 7 is what you want. Windows 8's interface isn't for tweeking around with settings Windows 7 will help if you need to fix something or mod any games. Windows 8 is made for a touch screen and design. Go to youtube and watch Razethew0rld's videos on windows 8.

Go on Newegg. Get one that you think will fit and is compatible with your computer.

I feel like this is a joke because no is sane enough to spend 1000 dollars on an unnecessary amount of storage on an SSD.

Nice build! I'm an AMD fan (intel is overrated). for $5 more, a 7950 would run much better than a 7870. also, how is your psu holding up? it looks like it can barely handle your computer.

You obviously don't like your case so for only 10$ more you could have gotten the Corsair 200R, which is probably the best case for its price, and it actually has some cable management. Something that would help is a fully modular PSU. Other than that it's a good build overall.
