You spent wayyyyyyy to much money on this.
Pics show two different builds.
he can just overclock the ram to 1600.
Just remove the clamps.
I can't believe you didn't think of it.
If you are going to go with a video card, go with the 780. Performs about the same as a Titan. Great build though!
im laughing at this.
Even if this is ordered just wait until you actually build it to post it here.
The 780 performs barely under a titan so one 780 is fine but you can sli it for crazy performance. I recommend getting the 780
Did you buy Ultimate? and if you did, you should've gotten classic and gotten a 3570k and a z77 plus you could get a better gpu also.
Locked processor and a Z77??? Water cooling also?????
Perfect build. But one thing I would've changed is getting an Samsung 830 256GB SSD or an 840 Pro.
no it doesnt go with my intel 3570k its so much better for gaming and video editing
One thing i really need to know is if OP lives near a microcenter
yeah but what about downloading them? and the better write speeds are better for editing
Intel is definitely the way to go on this one.
Im pretty sure we are the stupidest people alive right now. the 3570k is 170$.
The pro has 400 mb/s faster write speeds and i would get the card from newegg because of the 4 free games.
http://pcpartpicker.com/p/XLXe this is if you want to upgrade to a better cpu such as the 3770k
this is my suggestion
ehh. scrap the 7870 and just get a 7850. Pick up a 256gb 840 pro (so much faster than the 840). and get a corsair cx600m for about 10$ cheaper. you could even get a corsair 500w for 30$
That's all i see wrong with the build
Read speeds they are pretty much the same. However, the 840 Pro has around 520 mb/s write speeds while the 840 has around 130 mb/s. If you are downloading a lot, i recommend you take the 840 pro.
Cable management could use some work
For the keyboard, I recommend the Razer Black widow. It has cherry mx blue switches. Really high quality board. For the mouse, go with a mesh sleeved cord.
which is better?
8 months is recent? this was wayyyyy before catalyst 13.1 drivers
Go look at recent gtx 660 vs amd hd 7870 reviews or vidoes.
You should think about getting a hard drive before you get your gpu.
Not sure why you went for the 8150 instead of the 8350.
I think this needs more fans.
That's not dusty
He said it should be pointing down...
Weird motherboard there. 990FX is the chipset you want to the 8320. also you couldve gotten a better psu. LOVE THE CASE THOUGH.
PcPartpicker doesn't come with every motherboard and part. AMD does have the FM2 sockets that support the A# series which have integrated graphics
I'm pretty sure he edited it since i commented. Plus he could've gotten a 4350 for 20$.
Well, nice build overall. I just have a few things to say
1. don't tell us that its for ****
2. could've gotten a cheaper processor and a cheaper mother board
3. not sure why you 5450 with an 8350
just my thoughts on it, but good job.
If or when you upgrade your cpu to an 8350, i recommend a mobo with the 990fx chipset. MSI makes one for 120$ which is a really good deal. You will get the most out of overclocking and your components.
This board doesn't have any usb 3.0 ports but it overclocks so easily and is better if you want to crossfire that 7870.
I wouldn't say compromise, more like choice. for an HTPC i would recommend the A8 (*not K) since it uses less power and is cooler.
I'm seeing a lot more A10 builds now. Definitely a good choice for a 1st build.
200 upvotes! Congrats on the highest rated build on PCPartpicker!!!
http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/p/Q2oW This is my build, you dont have to crossfire but you can later and the i7 is better than an i5 for video rendering editing and things like that. When your brother is able to use the computer make sure you get the same ram.
GET FASTER RAM!!!! APUs need to have fast ram to work at their best. get a 8gb of gskill sniper 2133. 1600 ram wont max your apus performance
Are you kidding me?
Over-priced PSU. you could get a much better cosair or seasonic 750 for much cheaper.
I'm glad you mentioned that you had one 8gb stick already so people wouldn't flame for 16gb or ram. Great build though
not 1866 but 2133, gskill sniper has 8 gigs for around 50$
and dont go for antec, a corsair 430 semi modular really helps with cable management. only cables you cant remove are the cpu and mobo power cables.
