Don't forget custom pcb, cooling and noise levels. Also g1 bin their chips so they generally overclock well.
Did you install the graphics card drivers ?
I got k70 with blue leds. Bout 2 years old and not a single dead led.
Nvidia have no reason to price drop unless their cards stop selling at their current price.
at 1440p ultra? And thats not avg fps. From reading anandtech benchs titan x gets 78.7 avg compared to the 980 sli which gets 108.6 avg.
They arent the same. 980 sli get about 20 fps avg higher than a titan x. Could always consider 980ti which performs same as titan x but with less cost and vram. Either way a single card will barely get you 60 fps on current AAA titles at ultra.
Theres only that asus one at $800+ and thats just because of some moron on amazon.
It shows the 980ti gaining 200% performance at 4k with just increase with just an oc. That was enough to make me stop watching these morons.
wrong. you forgot dual bios, custom pcb, different inputs and a better cooler.
Better just to save up and grab a better cpu later. There arent much good cpu's on the fm2+ socket.
If you want to upgrade gpu wise then you're going to need to upgrade psu. Least 600~650w. Also remove that 2gb ram. Mix and matching ram is never recommended and can actually lower performance.
Was shown at e3 yesterday. You can build your own town and everything in it and you defend it against raiders etc.
No single gpu graphics card will run 4k ultra 60 fps. 980ti/titan x will be the closest single gpu card you can get but they wont run a solid 60 fps especially if its a AAA game like witcher, gta etc.
The 8 pins are actually 6+2 pins. He wont have any trouble with one.
Depends on your case. Assuming from your fan setup you have a s340 or h440 type case in which the fans will spin at 100% always.
I know how you feel. I paid $1169 aud for my monitor.
Depends on what type of gamer you are. The way i see it there are atleast 3 types. You have the responsive competitive types (120/144hz refresh rates). Secondly you have the eye candy graphic types (pixel density, ips panels, color). Thirdly you have immersion gamers (Surround setups, curved monitors). There are monitors who can satisfy multiple needs but dont expect them to be cheap.
No. The g1 has only 4 fan headers. You might be able to get away with it by using y splitter fan cables but be sure to check the voltages first.
Not sure where you got the idea that they were expensive. Maybe you were thinking of the 850 pro ?
I'd say do it if you got the $$ and its a good deal. Even if you dont use up 16gb the option will always be there.
Worth it if you want the backplate and more oc capable card since the g1 series bin the crappier chips.
The fx 880m is much weaker then the 860m. its the quadro series not the other gtx 880m. the gtx 880m's that you want come in the 4gb/8gb vram models and cost much much more.
Only need display port. Only one that will run the monitor at 144hz anyway i believe.
Apparently 2~3 days actually according to rumours of it releasing at computex june 2nd.
You can max out most if anything. just not witcher 3 cause of optimization. right now i think titan x are too overpriced for 4k. I personally use 980 sli stock clocks and on most games at 4k i was already hitting 50ish avg fps on ultra AA off(Not really needed at 4k). Personally sold my 4k now as i prefer 21:9 3440x1440 :). 980 ti/amd 3xx series should be best on release but we can only hope.
Probably not gonna be anything under $1.5k that will run witcher 3 on max. Hairworks destroys fps and it seems titan x has bad optimization in witcher considering people with titan x sli still struggle to hit 60 because the gpu usage only gets to around 60~70% usage apparently.
Not right at all.
well for 1 i dont believe amd has released drivers for witcher 3 yet. 2 amd cards cant run gamework effects like hbao+ or hairworks without it destroying the fps because they are optimized for nvidia cards.
If you need to look at a lot of data i wouldnt go with 4k. 4k is all about pixel density. Your best bet is to go for 21:9 monitors. Less demanding than 4k and much more viewing room.
If you went that way then there is no point of the 20z. You cant game with one 30z/two 20'z together. in surround. Gonna need 3 of one or the other to do surround.
You dont really consider nvidia if you want a FREESYNC monitor. Also note the xl2730z is 1440p not 1080p so you cant run it in 6400x1080 unless you plan to run the xl2730z on 1080p which just looks ugly.
Assuming you are from us that would be my pick. Has the 970m. Just remember these things are quite big and heavy.
Playing at 3440x1440 and it's great. 2 980's with max settings get around 50 fps avg.
Thats interesting. I Hit about 2.1~2.2gb vram if i was to play at 1440p. It's most likely the gameworks effects killing the fps.
Try turning hairworks off if you have it on. Not optimized for amd cards. and amd has yet to release drivers i believe ?
Its a rough estimate for the whole pc to run on 750w. It can be done on less such as 650w but you want a better quality psu of which the cx600 is not unfortunately.
I know. Waiting for it. (5.47am here atm) Remember to add the free 16 DLC's ;)
Not wise. That review even shows why. Going for the 4gb showed improvements of like 2~4 fps. The r9 280x is in the same price range and out performed the 960 in almost every bench and in the ones it lost were only about 2 fps.
Where are you loking for the h100i gtx to be cheaper then the x61? Pccg has the x61 less by $10 then the gtx. Id personally say wait till the swiftech h240x in june for $20 more.
Can't really think of much else. Fans spin and card powers on right? One other thing i can think of thats really random but some people do it is plug it into the gpu and no accidently to the onboard.
Sounds like it might be a scaling issue. Right click on desktop then personalization then display. Try tweaking around with the scaling.
And still no luck? Checked if monitor is set to the right input ?
I personally dont use asrock so i cant pinpoint where exactly it is in the bios. On my asus its under advanced then primary display. Maybe just go have another look.
It's not always an issue but it can be an issue. Have you checked if your bios has the boot priority to pcie and not igp?
Did you do a clean uninstall of the gpu drivers by DDU?
Doesnt have to be curved. The earlier model the 34um95 is the same but non curved and is cheaper by like $100~200 in aus so not sure on other places.
Possibly. A lot of games don't have 21:9 support. Would look so lovely at 3440x1440.
Don't forget input lag. Something everyone tends to forget but can have a huge impact depending on certain monitors.
Each cables have different limitations. For general 1080 60hz it does not really matter but 144hz 1080p you would need a dvi-d or a display port cable.
