The phantom is a good case, but I would recomend the fractal arc midi r2. Its super well built and its dieing to be upgraded.it has removable drive cages like the phantom for only 100. Even the 400r is similiar in qaulity.

Yeah, I was thinking about upgrading to the 4770k, but for the price/ performance ratio from the 4670 is very little as you said. I guess I could wait until I did some serious upgrades, like another r9 280x(If the price ever goes down to what it should be)

I have considered liquid cooling, (I built this thing awhile ago btw) But There quite expensive and the thermaltake keeps mine cool, but not too cool. I might get that giant phanteks one that like out performs a h100i. I'm not sure about the overclocking yet, I heard it really easy, but I just plain can't figure it out.

Thats the thing about i7s, they take longer to go out of date. that processor will have plenty of brute force to not bottle neck your gpu. The one thing you cant do is overclock it, but it should be OK.

Comment reply on Forum Topic "Will my parts fit in this case?"

  • 1 point

To Answer your question: I do not think it will fit. but you dont need to pay much for a new one. and since it appears your building a new system, that is somewhat beefy, case fans are gonna be needed. the 410 is a good option, but its quite expensive.for only 69.99 US the corsair 400r is a GREAT option, it has plenty of space to work in and you can have great cable management, and it comes with a couple good quality fans. Good luck, and I look forward to seeing your build.

I was putting together a parts list for a new computer, and I chose the same GPU, but it showed me other builds with this card and I saw yours, and man, I feel like I was copying you( I hadn't Seen yours until now) I chose the same cooler, same case, same video card, and same power supply, but the 1000w version. WOW!

Good choices for a good pc probally runs well, but just saying not that its that big of a deal you could have gone with a 2gb evga gtx 650 2gb card for only a little more than your current one but like I said it doesnt matter much the 1gb ones are really good too (and for the price)
