I'm really happy with it. Plays Battlefield 4, all settings high or ultra (except AA) at 40+ FPS. Perfect for my needs.
He's certainly going to regret the 0.1 degree temperature increase as a result of not spending 1+ hour doing all that cable management.... Doesn't matter!

Have you tried using onboard sound compared to the soundcard? Is there a big difference? Honesty would be appreciated :) Just wondering if its still worth getting a discrete soundcard these days. I just use headphones, so no 5.1 system or anything like that.
Yeah, I got a great deal on the card. It was a boxing day special I believe. Had a $40 MIR which was a bit sketchy but I got it in the end :)
I don't do a lot of gaming but I just installed Assassin's Creed III and it's running that at max settings. Monitor only does 1680x1050 though.
I'm the type of guy that's OK with medium settings so I'm sure the card will last me a while.
