i remember reading one of the reviews of the case, where the reviewer actually removed the front glass as well and included some details. can't remember which one, but can check tomshardware or kitguru

yeah, basically i have 5 intake and 3 exhaust fans (incl the 2 from cpu cooler)

nope it is still there, i don’t have airflow issues anyway. but i read somewhere that one can choose to remove it, but not as simple as it seems

hmmm, haven't had any issues so far. well a minor one or two, involving being unable to update BIOS online last time. but it worked when i updated from a USB stick

granted, i haven't really pushed it too far in terms of CPU utilization. maybe i'll get some real work/experimentation done soon. so far, all i've been using it for is games (Digital Combat Simulator, Outer Worlds, Modern Warfare, etc.)

ahhh yes, the fans that came with mine were also black. i was hoping in recent batches it was already changed to white but, oh well.

alright, i see quite a few options for the riser cable so i might try it when i get bored.

thanks!

oh, it doesn't light even though the cable for the front end light/ports are connected to the MB? i remember there's also a setting in the BIOS for enabling/disabling the case power led

I like it very much, thank you! It runs cooler than my previous Radeon 5700 XT, although big difference in price, I think the performance gap is worth it. Still struggles with high fps at 4k resolution, but I learned to accept that fact.

The Corsair stuff all match beautifully, except for the 3 x default case fans at the front intake which have black frames. They come at a premium though, but I got them during online sales, so all good. The White sleeved PCIe cables actually come with combs, but I haven't squeezed them in yet, too tight!

Have fun with your 2080 Super! What games will you play on them?

great build! looking forward to changing my case, cpu cooler and fans to the same in a month's time

were the fans included in the case also white? for the vertical gpu orientation, did you use any additional bracing aside from the case's vertical mount?

ahhh, thanks. i better keep an eye out for the temp in 3-5 years. although i imagine 5 years is too long without getting the itch to upgrade hehe

awesome build! i also wanted the lian-li or the corsair 680x something but ended up trying to save some $$ :-(

do aio need liquid top-up or replacement by 5 years? i thought they were sealed? i hope no horror stories of leakages for aio

hmmm i haven’t experienced any crashing of games thus far. but i’ve only played a few like yesterday spent a few hours of forza horizon 4, fortnite and apex legends, all in 4k. so far so good, no hiccups yet. although i sometimes end up dialing it down to 1440p for higher fps and lower temps. i oso don’t overclock any of the components

ahhh, maybe mid-range yes. but for the rest of the build he’s going for the cheapest mid-range components based on a ryzen 3600 and cheapst x570 mobo. ok maybe a low-to-mid-range build then hehe

i was planning to sell it, but my little brother asked for it so he can put together a low-end gaming rig. so might end up passing to him instead. thanks for the interest though!

hmmm, so far no. but i haven't played many games yet. i was just trying out forza horizon 4 at 4k and was getting 79 or so fps at ultra settings. the benchmark said "no stuttering" haha. havent played much yet to actually confirm that. did you have other stuff running in the background?

thanks! i didn’t know that about the 50th anniv, only sold through amd? i didn’t see it in the retailers.

anyway, prices are dropping on the 2080, maybe even more when 2080 super out tomorrow. apart from the better perf, i saw a white clad 2080! hahaha maybe change to to that ;-)

Thanks! It is ID-Cooling, I think a HK brand. Wanted to use the stock cpu cooler but vendor suggested me a cheap AIO
