I actually goes down before the PSU, so it doesnt touch it. The PSU is on its side, not horizontal.
Hey, thanks!! Sorry for the slow reply, didnt hope on here for a bit.
Thanks!! I love green, and though i think red looks a bit better in these types of build, i stuck out the green look. So happy i did.
Thanks!!! I have watched so many great professional and amateur builders and pulled the things i liked and didnt like. Then tried to get everything perfect, limit the mistakes.
Its all ran behind or under the panels. For example, if you got low from behind you could see all of the cables clipped to the bottom of the light floor. I also ran a lot tucked behind the side edge of the case.
I do need to clean the loop soon and do a proper build video of it being assembled. Just focusing on my next builds atm.
Just saw your build, wow is all I can say. Its amazing how you made all that by hand. I am comfortable working with acrylic by hand, but not metal. Truly a shocking building.
Absolutely amazing. Love everything you did. All that effort was worth it. Congrats on this beauty :)
NP, if you watch my channel, I plan on doing a video of a tear down and cleaning, then back together, so you can see how all the pieces work.
Sorry, I totally missed this. The back and front panels are matte black acrylic. The back wall of the case is sandwiched between those two and are mainly held together by the pass through fittings for the water cooling loop. There is nothing in between them, no wires or anything. Its 1/8inch thick acrylic.
The combs are attached by screws with flat heads and they are recessed into the acrylic so they dont cause issues with the acrylic being smashed together.
I will try and check back more often.
Its matte acrlyic
For these types of game, 100% yes. I have been playing at 144hz 3 years now, and I notice instantly when my fps drop below 100. My accuracy just gets laggy. I am far from good at these games, my 39yo reaction times are far from great either, but I notice. I would say my game play is noticially better from that sub 90fps range to that 144fps.
This monitor has a lot more going for it too. the 4k is amazing, but the HDR is jaw dropping. If you haven't seen a true hdr10 monitor with HDR video, you will be shocked by what it looks like. Image having to squint watching a sunset on youtube because its so bright with an image so clear you cant see the pixels. Its breath taking.
I do, i love it. No, its run pretty flawlessly for the most part. When it switches from HDR content to non-HDR content, it does go dark. My first time with HDR, so not sure if thats standard for it to turn the HDF lights on and off.
Text is crisp and clear on all content I have used.
I play Overwatch, heros of the storm, and far cry 5 atm. Overwatch runs at 200fps on 4k, but I am limited to the 144. I see no different between this and when I was on one 1080ti and a 1440p 144hz monitor other than the much better resolution.
Heroes is the same, looks identical but for better resolution, around 240fps.
Far Cry is a much more demanding game and even the 2 1080tis can only push around 100fps. I can turn settings down to boost it, but still a demanding game. I also have the HDR, so thats adding to the stress. I do have some random visual glitches in far cry. I never played on one 1080ti to know if thats a game issue or my set up. Its usually the sky in the distance acts funny. I spin the camera and it goes away. Not ideal, but toss it up to sli life. Excited for 1 gpu that can do 4k at 144hz on all games.
lol, thanks for noticing the effort!!
I am a public accountant (CPA) for a second tier public accounting firm. Build did get out of hand for me by 2 - 3 times to get right. If i knew the price going in, I would have probably never done it lols
The build does also include all peripherals, which most dont.
Awesome to know, any other tips from a pro? Its terrible how little I know about it WB. Had another photographer comment on photos of mine about nailing the WB. I could take zero credit, the camera did it by it self. Kind of embarrassing but also pretty amazing the camera's of today vs 30 years ago.
Hey, great first build.
1. Yes, while the system is idle, every once in a while a core will spool up to do work and then drop back down.
2. HWinfo is very popular.
3. They usually have a date on the drivers, they update pretty fast but unless youre having a problem with a game, no need to update. Every few months is safe.
4. I am not a monitor expert, especially TNs, if you look at it on here, this was one of the reviews. Might want to look into if there is a fix or return?
There is a video on the completed build. This actually reminded me I had a couple videos on various parts of the build.
On a full build process, I had planned to when i started. Early parts of the build of putting water blocks on cards, first time putting the MB and cpu together, cutting parts out of the case i have videos. Unfortunately as the build went from being only a week to being weeks to finish, I simply didnt want to take the time to set up the camera and film every time. So i have piece meal parts of the build. I tried to put a video together with that, and it simply didnt work. There would be too many huge leaps forward in the case. I might make a video in a few months when I do a full clean and take it completely a part, and then film putting it back together. Will be much more fluid and consistent.
Love it, please ensure to share on the site!!! Thanks!!
lols, thats great, thanks!!!!
Thanks!!! Its Primochill Vue
lol, awesome, TY!!!
Ha, you got me, they are stickers :P
Awesome and thank you!! What's your list of parts?
oh man, you can do your own legs then. Yea, turns out tables are pretty straight forward. As a welder, you have all the skills to knock one out easy.
Lots of cable training, running combs through it. Lots of final tweaks before shooting.
Thank you for the kind words. Neatness does feel really good :)
Thanks you!! Yea, big fan of straight lines. My need to be as perfect as possible would have me bending hundreds of tubes.
lol, i definitely have the first boot on the completed loop on film . . . but I was too busy being distracted about a fan cable not being right to even appreciate it. I totally missed the big moment. Oh well. Right now I a more emotional about all the kind words from everyone. Thanks you!!
lols, i felt like it might be too much, but honestly, i might love the back more than the front. It definitely makes me want to do something to clean up the MB space in future builds.
lols, thank you!!!
insert blush smiley
thats pretty cool, i will take it!!
haha, love this comment.
