Yeah, red is tricky to photograph. It blows out so easily unless you lock exposure. Esp LEDs.
@OP, would def like to see a few pics w/ LEDs off.
Indeed it is!
I skipped the soft tubing route since it's a showcase build.
Thanks! As toasty as any blower card. One is 77 and the other 80 under full load.
Thanks! It was featured last week!
Yeah. Just with the U12A though. It seemed pointless on the Prism since it couldn't even turbo that well.
Just did that for benches though. Per CCX OCing. 4.5, 4.5, 4.25, 4.2. Just long enough for Cinebench and Time Spy.
Thanks! Oh yeah, I did.
They were similar, but with the way boosting works on Zen2, the U12A was able to boost much higher.
The Prism hit 90 sometimes under synthetic load, the U12A never went past 85.
Between what exactly?
I've already got it. And yes, the workloads I use will benefit from the extra cores.
I don't do much gaming.
Indeed you did! Thanks!
Recently, yes. In fact, I'm redoing this one with a 3950X, larger rad, and different res config.
Thanks! I covered that pretty well in the first paragraph of the build description. Give that a quick read.
Thanks! Yes, definitely make sure some of your life is custom looped!
Yeah. I did that while it has a 2700X in it.
The board and RAM are re-used.
Thanks so much!
Lol, yes! Gotta keep the backseat builders who don't read the build notes in line.
I'll still with a good PSU that actually fits into the case lol.
It does have two. I use both of em.
Thanks! I'm using the Canon EOS R.
Thank you! Your liquid steel build is absolutely nuts!
Aspire to get there one day!
Thanks! I can definitely see it the way you described.
Thank you! Yes. It was quite an honor to get to do my first ever custom loop with such a beast of a card. Might be addicted to custom loops now lol.
Thanks! Love all of your super clean builds! It's like custom modded super clean engine bays.
Thanks! Can't wait to see your newest creation completed and up here.
Still one of my favs!
Wraith prism was fine at stock, but would only do like 3.8-3.9 all core. Boosted to like 4.4 w/ just PBO enabled (on a few cores) The U12A was able to overclock beyond all that. 4.1 all core and boosted to 4.6 with just PBO enabled.
Thanks so much! High praise from someone as talented as yourself.
Hah! You had me going there for a moment. Thanks!
Lol thanks! The card has a waterblock from the factory, so I don't think they sell the backplate or block separately.
Power is not an indicator of quality. You can have massively garbage 750 watt PSUs.
I don't think they're hitting shelves til the 25th.
Thanks! Yeah, this thing is getting a 3950X the second it drops. Hoping I get lucky at my local Microcenter. They always seem to be among the first to get stock of things.
It keeps my 1950X a more than reasonable temps. I don't overclock it, but it boosts nicely on its own. I'd imagine with its lower core count, the 2920X would do just fine.
Thank you so much!
Thank you! That's one of the reasons I didn't go w/ an RGB res. I didn't want everything to be so in your face red.
It's there. I just didn't realize there was one built into the case til yesterday AFTER all the photos were done lol.
LOL! Thank you!
Oh, that! I theorized that it's either a port pass-through of some kind, or just a remnant from reused tooling. But yeah... no concrete idea.
Thanks! Are you referring to the PCIe slot? It would be for expansion in other cases where there are accessible PCIe slots, just not in this specific case, so it's not really usable.
My 3900X is well tamed even w/ PBO on, so you won't have any issues with a 3700X I assume.
Yeah, it's very basic. Just a big metal box, but quality is there. Nothing threatened to cut me. It flexes a bit with the drive cage removed since that acted like a center brace, but in a rack that hardly matters.
I don't game on it.
