I will now remove a previous thread. Please sticky a notice on ebay and similar sites if you can to help the newbies, including me, not to violate terms of service.
I was one of the people who pre ordered the 1800x lol. fml. on my 4th build atm, and pre purchasing parts for my first AMD, but 5th build.
Thank you for clarifying.
Not trying to be rude, but I'm not sure if you're trolling me with that response, or are actually going to discuss it with your staff.
Dat 1700x performance to price ratio is epic. $100 usd less than 1800x, but only 5% less performance, whut?
how full is hd and how long have you had it
sounds like hard drive issue
no output? try different hdmi or display port cable
if your psu fan has 0 rpm functionality, it might not spin when powered on until loaded. try reinstalling the cooler and not just the fan. hand tighten without using screwdriver if possible, unless it has tension springs. please post partpicker list.
reinstall the cpu cooler. the tension might be too high and your mobo might be warped with cooler on. you can even check if cpu is working without a cooler, but must turn off within a minute or so if you make it to bios or temps going to skyrocket
God damnit I already I have 5 gtx 1070s, a gtx 1080, a gtx 1060, and a rx480...this deal looks so gooood
a time stamp is when you take a recent picture with your screen name and date and upload it to photobucket or imgur or something like that
look for a m.2 ssd instead of nvme since you won't be able to use the full power of it. many 128gb for OS are below $100. try to get MLC instead of TLC for OS drive.
Get strix. 1 m.2 for os, another big m.2 for storage. gg
there's a shitstorm on reddit lol
can't sli, only xfire since top is x16 while #2 x4, #3 and #4 are x1.
nvme is 2x speed. get pcie card for your slot 2 for x4 speed. if you want get a cheap m.2 for os? getting samsung won't let you run full speed anyway. waste of money.
check the manual on it on the website. m.2s normally run 4x if the m.2 ssd is nvme. but then it will being using some lanes from your satas. every mobo is different. i would try to look at the manual, but at work so this is as much help as i can do for now. you could use pcie 4x, but it'll drop your gpu to x8 instead of x16 and you wont be able to run sli if you wanted. cpu lanes do not coincide with mobo lanes.
it should if it has m.2 slot.
my order was cancelled because "out of stock". sure w/e never buying from them. also, i got 3 emails saying order was cancelled even though i only ordered it once.
my local bb doesn't price match new egg. probably won't match ncix either
had to grab it lol. my first titanium psu
thanks for the tips
bump for combined price drop.
Now that you think of it, everything is rendered fine. Only cutscenes that havelocked 30fps have grainy blacks. In game engine cut scenes are fine. Thanks for making me feel better. I was going to go crazy. Thought something wrong with monitor or gpus. I used pixel tests, etc. Evreything was fine, except the videos of course.
I have 2x8gb vengeance red led 3200. will test tomorrow with manual settings
thanks for the help. i looked through some of those files and did not find any 3200mhz compatible. skylake boards finicky with 3200mhz. i think it's more compatible with x99
Where would that list be? Bios is updated.
I'm just like you ten8yp. I started building pcs and I'm so addicted that I buy parts to make builds and benchmark for a couple hours and try to resell it...instead of actually using it to play games. for me benchmarking=playing games lol
the radiator is 45mm thick. won't clear cable bar. didn't realize how overly thick it was compared to nzxt 30mm
bump for another price drop!
bump for price drop!
bump for another price drop!!!
bump for price drop to $60
Thanks. you're awesome. thermaltake looks good, but does it support dual gpu?
Newegg currently sells it for $71 shipped. They must be insane, but I'm just a little out of my fricken mind.
thanks. rip gpu kun.
kabylake is the 7xxx chips, while the 6xxx are the skylake chips. the major differences is the 4k streaming for kabylake and optane, which isn't supported yet. and since you're air cooling with the evo 212, i recommend the skylake chips for better temperatures
after relive, 2x 480s almost equal a 1080 lol, BUT ONLY FOR $310...wut
I honestly think that is actually a great build for that price. It will be able to do 1080p 60 fps high to ultra on most games, even triple A.
Do you have fast internet for 4k streaming netflix? You could save $50 and get a 6700k for about $300 new if you decide to downgrade from kaby lake. I wouldn't get the kabylake unless you have a 4k monitor/tv or are planning to upgrade other parts in the near future to future proof. The nitro has a backplate, but you're paying a premium. Semi modular psu is a good choice at that price. Everything else looks fine. That was a better build than your original.
edit. i'd choose this https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139144&cm_re=rm550x-_-17-139-144-_-Product for the zero rpm, japanese capacitors. it's a great psu and it's full modular gold rated.
I'm at work and will compile a budget friendly list later tonight if you're still interested. Don't t take some of the comments here too seriously, they can sometimes be ********. I don't speak up much in forums because of how some of the community treats others.
I recommend not going AMD route unless you're willing to wait a couple months for Ryzen. The current AMD chips are bottlenecking pascal.
Get msi's rx 480 armor 4gb for $155 after MIR. It is the best gpu for price vs performance. it is also the oc version so it is overclocked from factory if you download the gaming app.
it might sell out soon. it was that price since yesterday.
P.S. I finished 3 builds within 3 months and still own them all. Working on a 4th build when Ryzen comes out for my first 8 core/ 16 thread crossfire beast. I'm still new, but I've learned a lot within these 3 months. I was able to even do a custom ekwb hardline loop by myself after learning from youtube.
I've started to build since October 2016, and the longer I've been with pcpartpicker, the more I know about the pc building community. Could you all chill out with the mean comments? I understand sometimes the part choices aren't the greatest and the builder might be new. They are learning. Give advice in a nicer manner. Explain why you'd choose a part over another part without berating the OP and giving them a hard time.
how do you guys link the part list in the thread instead of just a link?
Thanks for the link. I'll know where to get great deals for future cards now.
bump for price drop.
