oops, haha meant to put a H105 lol...
expected a PC build inside a oreo box lol
How is that Athlon X4 860k in gaming? I am thinking of building my little brother a PC with this CPU... I know it really depends on the GPU but I was wondering if you notice any bottlenecking with it...
P.S. if you are looking for a nice case, heres the one I use: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811147184&cm_re=Galaxy_02-_-11-147-184-_-Product
Its not much but it keeps the PC cool and has PLENTY of room for backpanel cable management.
Thanks for the reply! I have been hearing a lot about the 212 Evo so I'll probably get this one.
Thanks for the tips!
yeah, I do plan to get a cooler... any suggestions? would like to overclock to atleast 4.5-4.8 Ghz (if cpu will allow that)
yeah, I received this as a gift from my grandfather. Who am I to turn down a free screen, haha? I do love the amount of overkill with the video card at this resolution though, but I am planning to get a 1080p screen next, or an SSD.
Thanks for the reply!
To answer your question, The CPU is great for the price, not an i7 but hey, its $200 less... no problems with it so far and I can have multiple programs open and chrome tabs with no problems with responsiveness.
I have to use the stock cooler as I do not currently have the money to buy anything, even games. The stock cooler is not loud at all keeping the CPU cool with no heat issues, though I could have just won the "CPU lottery" and gotten a extremely good chip, which will be great when I overclock!
That is a solid motherboard... the reviews you may have seen were for the Revision 3 not yours, the revision 4. I have the same one and its great, just bought an ASUS GTX 770 too!
how is that 280x? people keep telling me to get a GTX 770 and im just not sure because the 280x has 3gb VRAM and seems like it might last longer with upcoming games.
haha, nice, I got it as a gift and I thought "hey, why not".
you probably have a much better GPU than me, I currently only have an HD 6450 1gb... soon to get a R9 280x though!
hmm, you mean like a custom water loop? or like a H100i? cause ive been looking at many types of coolers.
oh, I didnt know that! that seems like a great feature.
yeah, I plan to get an Acer 1080p monitor, but thats low on the list right now as I still have to get a 280x
yeah, over the course of this year I plan to get an SSD, by the way do you overclock with that 8350/evo? like does it stay cool if you do?
yeah, I was looking at the MSI one. Ill probably be getting that one.
Not sure which 280x I will get, any suggestions? Gigabyte? ASUS? XFX?
yeah, its on the highest settings I can set. With Optifine i can set Multi-core rendering and the map/chunks load crazy fast. heres a link to my settings http://imgur.com/zWYUi1t
The 600W was good for later upgrades, along with overclocking. But to each their own I guess!
Thanks! will be picking up a 280x next paycheck!
Minecraft runs fine at 1080p max @ 60-80fps with this CPU/GPU. If the difference is only $20 go for the 8320! those 2 extra cores may come in handy some time, and, who doesnt want 8 cores! :D
Just a heads up, not sure if you fixed it but Pinform Speccy said Crossfire was DISABLED... just letting you know!
nice build... By the way, how is that R9 280? im thinking of picking one up.
The GTX 770 is fine, or the GTX 760 (if you dont mind turning the graphic settings down some) but other than that you're all good! And, 32 fps? I normally get 30 fps on games with my 'craptop' and in those games where I get 60+ fps or just look at the ground you can see an improvement, trust me I love 60 FPS but cant achieve it... saving for a new desktop though!
