I don't get why they didn't get the MSI R9 280. It's $60 cheaper, and just as powerful as the XFX DD.

How is the EVGA SC 760? I've read reviews complaining about its noise, and it's $250 on Newegg right now.

I would use an A6-6600k for the processor, and 4 gbs of memory, as it looks like a low-end build.

ApocalypticEvil's Completed Build: FM2+ Socket PC

epicpcgamer 1 Build 1 point 66 months ago

You should get faster memory. With an APU, you need it.

ApocalypticEvil's Completed Build: FM2+ Socket PC

epicpcgamer 1 Build 3 points 66 months ago

I second that notion. A MID-RANGE APU can run Sleeping dogs on Medium settings (1080p) at 40 fps. Imagine the most powerful APU (the 6800k) running games like Battlefield 4 with Mantle.

Are you going to overclock? If otherwise, just settle for the Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO. Also, I plan on overclocking, how does the liquid cooling fit in the BitFenix?

I think AMD is the way to go, considering that it has released Mantle recently, but if you get the 760 you get Assassin's Creed Black Flag, Splinter Cell Blacklist, and Battlefield 4 for FREE

Get the Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO as the fan, to overclock some more. AMD ftw :D

Should have picked up the processor at Micro Center, would've saved 15 bucks for the case fans.
