It does look a bit off - it's probably a bit late now as the rig was built a few weeks back, but I'll give the owner a text and ask him to check. It might look odd because the heat spreader on the white stick covers the whole PCB, whereas the red one doesnt?

Yes, I was really surprised considering A) the locked multi and B) I had heard that the x3 chips were crippled and poorly binned x4 chips!

For the money, I was really really impressed by it! It's Firestrike physics score is in the same league as the Fx 4300!

Yeah they can be problematic, that's why I've downclocked them both to 1600mhz - no problems so far (fingers crossed!)

Thanks! I've found when using mis-matched ram, it tends to be more stable running in single channel - I don't really know why. The performance difference is minimal in real world situations anyway :)

I'll see if I can upload some in a bit - I warn you though, it isn't very pretty.

I got one like this: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/111756249787

I'd really recommend it - it was easy to cut & glue and had no problem with 4 right angle corners. It also meant I didn't have to be too neat with my cutting which was a plus :)

Not sure why this is down voted - Win7 over Win8 is a personal choice, I don't mind windows 8 myself but can see why some people would be more comfortable sticking with what they know. Wires aren't brilliant, especially considering this case has cable routing holes - but they aren't going to interfere with airflow and anyway nothing in this build will get hot enough for airflow to matter much, plus you can't see them with the side on. PSU is overkill though, you might have been better off with a lower wattage, higher efficiency & quality unit for the same price. Overall seems like a solid, if quite expensive, office build!

Yeah I definitely plan on giving overclocking a go... My housemate got his Haswell i5 up to 4.8, I want to see how close I can get my fx (I'm thinking not particularly close as he has much better cooling) My plan is to do it myself, rather than relying on Asus software, hopefully it won't be too hard :s

Thanks! So what GPU would you have recommended instead? I would have gone with an AMD one, but all the litecoin and bitcoin related price hikes meant only an r9 270x was in my price range :/

EDIT: Not sure about the Norton then, maybe it found its way in from somewhere else :s
