Nice build. Only thing I would suggest is getting some cable extensions on your psu cables if you care, might add a nice touch to the build.
It turned out really nice looking and it makes your build look really unique with that panel in it. But yeah that is quite an expensive screen, thank you for the info.
Thanks for the info, I may have to give that sound bar a try. I had a couple Logitech sets and were not happy with the sound quality of any of them and have been using just my studio head phones ever since. But I don't always like to wear them just to watch a youtube video or listen to some music.
Thank you for the reply and the information. I will have to try your link. I had never thought about using an alternative Bios to control the RGB lighting.
Really well done and super clean build. Really hope you post a few more pics. What display did you use inside the case?
Very nice build. Really curious how you changed the Geforce logo to purple, I have been trying to figure out a clean way to do this with my own GPU.
Nice build! How do you like the razer leviathan sound system?
Honestly this was my first time using a Toshiba drive. I usually stick to Western Digital or Seagate.
The drive is very responsive for a mechanical drive. You will notice right away it has some weight to it and its pretty thick so the build quality is pretty sound. But unless you have a decent size drive cage I wouldn't expect to cram 3 of these next to each other. I run my server 24/7 and the Corsair Air 240 does not have a lot of ventilation in the second chamber. It stays between 38-42°C and it does produce some noise but it is quieter than some of my older WD drives. Overall I am really happy with it. Its been in that tower for about a year now with no issues.
That is the next thing on my list.
Lol yeah its been on my list to trash it for awhile. But its been running for 5 years
How are you liking the kraken? I am between this and a giant air cooler. Also great build and awesome wallpaper. My latest build is also a black and purple theme.
Very nice build and super clean cable management. +1
Nice Build. I like the white and black color scheme. I would suggest getting a another stick of RAM so you can run in dual channel. +1
Very nice builds. They have a nice uncle! +1
Great work. Super clean build.
Great job for your first build. At some point I recommend getting an M.2 or a SATA SSD it will make your desktop experience much faster.
Very Clean and I love the theme. (I hope to take pictures like this one day)
very nice case and nice to seem a different color besides red and blue.
I have built PCs with and without SSDs. And I agree it is very much a luxury item if you have the money but not a necessity if you are trying to get your build done as quickly as possible. I spent $45 on 120gb SSD just for Boot and Steam and I will agree it doesn't even feel like the same PC when compared to booting off a HDD. I wouldn't build anything for myself without one in the future either. But an SSD can always come later you don't have to carve that into your initial budget. They even have software to help move operating systems onto SSDs.
Great Build, Love the lighting effects you chose.
Very true, I got Deadspace to run on a 4K TV with an RX 460 4GB Nitro.
Really nice build and I have to say your pictures are great! +1
Very nice build! What is the name of that monitor stand?
Thanks, I am enjoying the Mini C quite a bit more than my old Air 240. Especially with cable management and build quality
May have to look into disabling power saving and C states in bios. ALSO "silicon lottery" not all chips are created equal. You could give 30 people the same CPU and maybe 10% of those will be able to maintain lets say 5 ghz, 50% will hit 4.8 ghz, and the bottom 40% will maybe hit 4.6 ghz but have to use a higher voltage therefore generating more heat.
This is not the best explanation I'm sure there is a lot more experience overclockers on here or overclockers.net forums
Thanks, Yeah that's kinda my thinking right now. I know the Ryzen 1400 is going to be selling for $169 and if that beats 4670k I am probably going to save up for all new Ryzen parts. My primary use is gaming so that is #1 on my requirement list going forward. The editing is something new I am getting into but am going to continue to pursue.
Very clean build and top notch components. You brought a lot of lighting but its all subtle and looks good together. Great job especially for a first build. You should definitely try overclocking, read some guides, youtube and go for it.
Nice start coming from a pre-built. I would totally ditch that motherboard for an aftermarket H-61 if you keep using that CPU. It will have a better feature set and probably be a bit more reliable in the long run.
Nice Build, My favorite thing is recycling parts into new builds and Haswell is still going strong.
Very unique case/test bench look.
Great build, I just bought the Define Mini C for my own rig.
If you don't mind me asking where did you buy PC parts on installment?
Very nice build. The new AMD stock cooler looks great...but is it quiet?
Nice Build! I love seeing Blue and Black Builds
Really amazing looking build. Good job
Great build! I'm hoping to get my 240 looking more like yours, the LED strip around the edges really made it look nice.
Looks awesome! congratz on the feature you earned it.
Nice build! I really like the internal display idea.
Same color fans and CPU cooler lol.
Nice build, If it works and looks the way you want it. Good for you.
I get similar stuff because I have an i3-4150 and an RX 460 and I play tons of games..But I can still get 60 FPS or more in everything I play and record/edit gameplay footage in hitfilm.
Amazing builds in the grandest set up I have ever seen on PCPP. Congratulations to you
If I could give more than +1 believe me you have earned it.
I have a Corsair air 240 and I ended up going with a C7 low profile cooler because I had no idea a full height CPU air cooler would fit, thank you for the pictures to show me otherwise.
Really nice desk set up and build. How does the CPU game? I have an i3-4150 and it works fine for now but I have been thinking about making the jump to either an i5-4460 or a i5-4690k. +1
Very nice build, with room for upgrades in the future.
Very cool looking build. Good job on the modification.
Thank you for the really detailed advice especially about the shims and the difference in temperature that's a huge difference. I would have been pretty disappointed buying an AIO and a special bracket for a 10C drop, especially since temps in my air 240 case are very low anyway.
Very nice +1 I would give it a +2 if I could for those RGB fans, not tasteless at all.
Was that NZXT water cooling adapter pretty easy to install? When I upgrade my GPU I have been thinking about it.
Nice build. I have been between this case and the Fractal Define S. Really nice use of the RGB strip.
Thanks! And an SSD and a 2TB HDD are on my list for sure. But one part at a time.
And I am between a 1050 ti and a RX 470 at the moment. Leaning towards the 470 if the price is right.
lol it relates to the color of the tower (ice) and the keyboard and mouse (fire)
Will eventually be getting rid of the 750 for something recent
Very nice build. That LED strip was a nice touch
