I have no complaints what so ever. the only thing the G3258 seems to kill this CPU on is of course is single threaded applications. for the price i would certainly buy this chip again and cannot recommend it enough.

ive got all cables tied down and out of the way using twist ties and cable ties. also there is only the 24 pin connector, the cpu connector, the gpu connector, the sata cable, and the fan cables attached, everything has been removed.

i agree, i wish i had done a better job. the one thing i wanted to achieve was an unobstructed air flow path.

i found using the onboard graphics will throttle the CPU to about 3.0Ghz, even using the R7 250 to crossfire would throttle. even so, i did enjoy using the onboard graphics!

i doubt he will overclock, but the option is there if he feels in 6 months he wants more performance, will be a primarily gaming and streaming machine.

i do like your Intel build but im curious how well the motherboard will fit in the case, wont a micro be a little too small for this case?

ill ask him if we can ditch the bluray player but im not going to push him, he will insist on a disk drive of some sort. im not going to argue with the man paying the price, ill just voice my recommendation.

i've found the CPU will throttle down when under a heavy iGPU load, which has caused some issues when running many mods on Skyrim. im hoping the R7 250 will alleviate this issue but i will not find out until tomorrow.

i really am getting excited to see how the R7 250 does tomorrow! the only game that gave me grief was Metro Last Light, its just optimized for the APU. at times its buttery smooth and gorgeous, and then people start shooting, **** blows up and frame rates drop to the single digits.

the R7 250 will becoming in tomorrow and ill do the same comparison, from what ive read it should boost it anywhere from 20%-50%. i made the videos because no one else had done an in game comparison. Skyrim is what i mostly play and i wanted others to see that this APU can run it no problems.

ive made a couple videos on YouTube showing the differences in the overclock on the 7850k, ill be slapping the R7 250 in next week to show the performance of dual graphics on this APU.

people need to take a step back and realize for a moment, this is an integrated graphics chip, this is not a high end top of the line mega ultra CPU. you can game on this APU alone, and i dont mean 2d side scrolling gaming, i mean it can run Watch Dogs, BF4, you name it. Granted the price is a little high right now, and for a few doll hairs more you can get better, but like i said, this is an integrated graphics chip. im impressed needless to say.

i haven't found a need for getting a discrete GPU, but I've ordered the MSI R7 250 for dual graphics because, why not? overall im dumbfounded honestly, i didnt realize this was even possible with an APU, with good fast memory and sufficient cooling.

not bad man, built my wife a PC using this same APU and find myself using hers every now and again and pushing the overclock just to see what she can handle, you've got a damned good APU on your hands my man. if you ever have any questions feel free to hit me up.

i think its awesome man, great budget, excellent RAM for the APU, that PS isn't t going to be under any stress so it should be fine as long as you don't't push it. save your hard earned $ and get something slightly better for peace of mind later down the road, but to get your feet off the ground this is fine. if you feel you need more graphics "umph" throw i think the R7 240 in there? id have to check and see which is compatible for Dual Graphics.

Edit: Radeon HD 6670 1GB not bad

im a multitasker, i have to be doing more than one thing at a time, and im addicted to gaming. i find two monitors is better for me than ALT tabbing, so i can have the game running in one screen and various other operations being performed on the other.

thanks for the info, i know most cards out now will be better than the GTX480 ive got in there now, so ill toss the R9 280x up and compare the two to get an idea.
