No worries brother
I tried, it fits with very little room left, but i found overall system cooling to be better with the rad mounted on top.
Maybe a low profile heatsink? Little dude gets hot af at times, being right up against the gpu.
It does stuff, and sometimes things.
Lookout Mountain is AWESOME!
Horizon chews through some ram for sure. i dig it though, nice build.
Looks great buddy
It's worth looking into for sure
I'll give it another go
Yeah, i just think this MB can't handle it TBH
I will give it a shot, what DRAM voltage are you running, tweak anything else? Thanks buddy!
I couldn't believe it, and up until the moment it arrived i thought a mistake had been made, never seen a 1070 that cheap. Either way i only bought the 470 for $160 at Best Buy right before the craze happened, had i known it was going to be like that i would have bought more of them!
Its refurbished, comes with a 1 year warranty. Every wednesday EVGA updates their stock.
not yet, still on 2933mhz
Yeah, it nerfed my 2933mhz settings, couldn't go any higher than 2800mhz iirc. rolled back the bios and am back to 2933mhz, still no stable 3200mhz.
At the time I did yes, by now I bet it would be fine
This is hands down the best multitasking CPU i have ever owned. So far i have zero complaints and have not seen any reason to even begin overclocking.
Much appreciated <3
I have not found anything this 1700 cannot do, If you have the $ i recommend it, and as for Mr. Bard, i take that as a compliment ;)
Well isn't that a cozy little nook
The fan barely squeezes in behind the ram, height is not the issue with this one, it's width.
As close to silent as I can get and keeps my CPU under 50 degrees while encoding, couldn't be happier! Thanks man :)
Yup, my only (justified) complaint about the case. This morning i swapped one of the SSD's for a large 2tb HDD, tried to run just SSD's but i need more storage for recording.
Oh I do not smoke in the game room, no sir that is a big NONO
S&W Bodyguard, I don't even take a **** at night without it (ok I live in a not so great neighborhood don't judge)
Marlboro 72's, short and light, like me ;)
Thanks man! I'm digging it myself :)
Thanks! Was going for a silent build and had those laying around, will probably get bigger ones once the price comes down a little more, also because there is only one spot for a HDD.
I better :)
dude this 390 is sooo hot, and I tried to build my system to be quiet and once I get into a game the noise can be deafening in a quiet house late at night.
I forgot to mention the power draw, the 390 is insane when I comes to that, the 470 is half the power draw of the 390. I pull almost 500+ watts when fully loaded with the 390.
Crossfire is great when it is supported, and even two 470's I don't think would compare to the heat and noise of this 390.
i havent laid my hands on this build in quite some time but i remember dual graphics was fun, i threw some videos together of it and honestly really enjoy tinkering with these budget builds.
XMP profile iirc, it has been some time since i last tinkered with this build. what you can do it find the manual timings and voltage and set it yourself if XMP is not functioning reliably.
Well, you got a little spaghetti going on in there, but i like your ambition!
Love it, gaming is starting to use more cores so the FX line is seeing new life with Vulkan and DX12
same here, i got a less than 10% overclock out of it and decided just to keep it stock.
Great combo, i have the same CPU and GPU and they are very well matched.
No clue, they were in storage at my work and i just asked if i could have them. no manufacturer stamps, no identifying markers, nothing. God help me if i need to get another one or need replacement components for one.
I dig it :)
Love it, the 860k is very capable and i love the last generation XFX cards, so sleek.
