Wow this thing is a beast. How do you like your monitor? I'm hearing mixed reviews.
There would be an option that let's you choose between Windows and OSx.
I used guides from tonymacx86.com.
I haven't seen any myself but here's a link of another Hackintosh I helped my brother build.
I had some issues with audio on first boot but modified some kext files to get everything running smoothly. I'd actually recommend using a Gigabyte board over Asus if you're planning on building a hackintosh. My first hackintosh was with a Gigabyte Z87N (mini ITX) and it could not have been easier...everything was plug and play. Send me a PM if you're stuck on choosing a part or if you need help with the install.
Amazing job! That takes some serious time and dedication.
Nice build. Really clean and great job on the colour scheme! I hope you bought the twin packs for the fans and saved a couple bucks.
This is amazing. I remember seeing your first version of this build and it had me hooked. I'm debating on upgrading some of the parts in my build and will probably do a white and gold scheme after seeing v2 of Gatsby.
Great job and +1 for the green light!
I'll upgrade the GPU to a 970 if I start gaming some more and I agree, the black version of the RAM would've looked pretty slick.
It's a bit wider than other cases since it has a dual chamber design but it's a fair trade off to make your build look clean. I had a CM enforcer which was measured to 9" wide while the 540 measures to 13" wide.
The case is very fun and easy to work with, it feels like you're cheating with the ease of cable management. Your Praetor build would look REALLY good in the black Air 540.
Thanks geogeodude. I've added a bit more to the description that should explain more.
Nice build and wallpaper! The black and white components may be coming in v2!
Much appreciated jones!
My Air 540 came with 2 AF140's, I put the 3 AF120's in front and used 1 AF140 for the rear.
Many thanks, the 760 is a couple years old and I purchased it around $260CDN at the time.
I'm not really planning on changing the GPU since I don't game too much and it suits my needs but I've noticed the price dropping on the 980 which can get tempting!
Appreciate it, thanks!
Just checked out your build out and looks like you've got it all ready to go! Any noticeable difference between the 840 and 850?
Thanks Zelda, it's not really what I was going for but I appreciate the comment!
$260CDN a couple years ago. I really should've updated pricing before posting haha.
Wow. One of the coolest things I've seen on this site! Good job on the build!
I think we're running the same triple monitor setup!
Nice and clean! I wish spent the extra few bucks and with the GA-Z97N instead of the GA-Z87N. My 24-pin cable is wedged right up against my H100i.
