That's some pretty nice work there And now I know it's possibe to fill a PC
That's amazing. Might need to add some more retailers...
Maybe someone could ask the major case manufacturers (NZXT Corsair etc) for pre-rendered renderings to scale
It would be convenient if case manufacturers would list how much clearance there was for each fan/rad mount location.
FrozenCPU doesn't have a wishlist/build list feature which is what I love about PcPartPicker; the idea
You're spending $2000 on a computer that you expect to use only 2 years? Also nice PSU
He needs an OSX compatible GPU, keep that in mind.
Ever seen two of em in a workstation? ;)
or a Cooler Master V10
The BitFenix Alchemy has the best LEDs, in my opinion. I've never gotten to actually use them, but all of the reviewers say it's the best EVER
They're sold by Unicomp Inc. for abbout $80
how bout a 760 :) nm I think it's time to stop arguing over something that's already done. I'm a GeForce fan.
Unless you're streaming, recording, or editing, you don't really need an eight core, a 6350 or if you're on a very tight budget even the 4350 can game, just get at least a 760 or the R9 equivalent. Also, unless you're going to be doing some serious upgrading in the future, you don't really need that expensive motherboard.
I think it's the 7750, not the 7770. Could be, I can't remember. Also the GT 640, but the 7750 and 7770 are superior to that
Yeah. I play minecraft on an ultra-low-voltage i5 ultrabook with integrated graphics and standard 4 GB memory and I get 40 FPS on max settings... :)
get the new equivalent of the 7870, the R-series
I agree, building a computer is fun stuff if you have the time
Minecraft is in no way graphics dependent. That was my first mistake when buying my first computer: Minecraft is not what we think of when we say gaming. It is like a simulator; pretty much no graphics, high gHz CPU, and decent amount of memory will do the trick for Minecraft... in fact you really don't need any of that. as long as you keep the cpu above 2 gHz and the memory about 4 GB then you're fine
tryin to save someone like 500 bucks. whenever I try to help people in real life i accidentally just do whatever I was trying to help them with, and online apparently I sound a slight bit screamy sorry about that... but yeah AMD Athlon II X4 is best budget processor, based on the relatively recent trinity architecture. I was also trying to say that Minecraft and LoL weren't worthy of a gaming computer. I mean, Minecraft could definitely benefit from 8 GB of ram and a overclocked processor, but graphics? nah, you don't actually need it. LoL is you know... however you want your computer to overkill
Oh! that explains a lot! ok, that's great :)
optical sensors are light based. laser mice are laser based. (don't tell me what a laser is, it's a type of light). laser sensors are superior to optical sensors; they're just not sensitive enough. dpi!!! all o the best gaming mice have laser sensors. I know the difference between a rollerball mouse and an optical mouse, I'm not an idiot. laser is not a type of wireless mouse, dude.
Laser mice are better. plain simple. optical is ok.
I have NO IDEA why you would ever need more than 8 GB of RAM unless you're editing 3 videos at once while surfing 20 websites, but whatever. The BlackWidow Ultimate has CHerry MX Blues, so they're better for typists than gamers. I think you could've got a 3970X if you toned down the overkill, suchs as the RAM, case, and overkill mobo. also, that's an odd assortment of SSDs. I'm confuzzled that you went the the H100 instead of the H100i. Seriously, you get an Uber keyboard, and pair it with an OPTICAL mouse? wat?! I think this is a great build, if not slightly (pretty) kinda (very) unbalanced. Also, the 770 is the same as the 680, but better and cheaper. :D
Are you crazy? You could play LoL on Intel Integrated Graphics 4000 and not break a sweat. 7850 ghz could play Crysis 3 on Medium to high settings. If he ever gets a graphics card, he could play Hawken (the only thing I can accurately say) with a GT640 on medium settings. Dude, you've been wasting your money. I feel sorry for you. Also, to everybody, ifyou ever to a budget GAMING build, use the AMD Athlon X4 750k. it's basically the A10 6800k without the graphics chip, and it's like 80 bucks.
I envy the one who can get a Titan, let alone four of them.
This build is for my friend who is new to building computers. He likes to play Hawken.
It only makes a difference below 40 FPS, above 40 FPS 5 FPS doesn't matter
probably because they're too expensive
especially if you introduce her to gaming
details don't matter, the gaming experience does. true, 25 to 30 is q jump, but further than that 5 fps is nothing.
Um... I really think you could've gotten faster RAM, graphics, and storage instead of just buying a supermassive case, I mean, that's not a SR-X board you have...
Yup! I wish I had money for those parts... I only get an AMD FX-4170 (zambezi...ugh), and GTX 650, and the cheapest ddr3-1600 8gb ram that has heat spreaders. budget, buddy!
I built my first PC when I was 12 :D and I'm now 13 and wow you did a great job. I love those channels, too!
