Great build! You should be able to hit 3.8GHz on the stock cooler pretty easily without the temps being to high.

Just make sure to get either the Gskill Flare X RAM or any of the RAM that's on the compatibility list for this board on MSI's website. I had no problems what so every with this board or any MSI boards in the past as this is my forth MSI board that's I've used. They have the best UEFI's in my opinion.

1.38v which is pretty good for Ryzen.

I tested this PC using Witcher 3, GTA V, DOOM, and Arma 3. It was able to run all of those games at 40-60fps with a Medium-High setting. The RX 460 is probably the best budget GPU for the games that you mentioned or the 1050 ti (Hard for me to recommend the 1050 when the TI is just a little more). Do keep in mind that H1Z1 isn't very optimized and any GPU may have a problem running it.

I think he will too. Hopefully it gets him away from that console peasant status. lol

Yeah they preform pretty well for the money. I tried to overclock the GPU a little bit but it didn't like that. lol

The only issue I had was that the front I/O cables got in the way a little but other than that no. It just made it hard to screw in the top fan. It might be better to got with the H100i for this case but that's up to you. The S340 is probably the best case though. lol

The question is, can it run minesweeper at 4k?

Go to completed build and click create a completed build. Yes you need to buy it first, you have to have some pictures of the build for it to get posted.

I personally like the look of 4 sticks of RAM over just 2 and I think 16GB is a good amount to have if you just game and stream.

I actually didn't know about the patches. The 860k is also good if you like to overclock as well which is why I personally recommend it.

I would recommend that CPU over but since it's only a duel core, it's hard to recommend. Games these days are starting to only support CPU's with 4 core/threads.

I really miss the Phenom II line of CPU's. Great CPU's. Love the build btw!

Guys, I lied. This is actually for minecraft and minesweeper at 720p with 30 fps. It just barely gets the job done.

Thanks! I was planning on doing just that. I just haven't decided on what color I want to use. lol
