Great job! Respect anyone doing liquid in an ITX case :)
Snap! I had a gtx 580 in with the old i7 before changing over to the gtx 1080. I did a few comparison experiments at the time I upgraded in games like Fallout which I recorded with settings frame rates etc etc... can't find ATM damn it. I've got screen grabs of the 3D Mark Fire Strike tests which show the score going from 4,678 with the gtx 580 to 16,668 with the gtx 1080.
Serious parts here.... love it.
Need to fabricate a tempered glass panel somewhere on this beast so you can see all the goodness inside!!!
Love stories like this - great machine + nice work!
Superb machine you've built!
Shame Sandy wasn't working for you anymore... I've rebuilt an old machine based around a 2600K paired with a gtx1080 and it plays 60fps QHD at High settings in most games.

For sure. Obviously it comes down to everyone's budget... But I think the 1080 has slid into the sweet spot for price/performance for a lot of people. It's still a real beast!
I'd say more like a Black Lotus :)
I wouldn't say "almost".
Wake me up when Intel does something worth looking at more than Sandybridge eh?
