but you didn't put it in the parts list.
HOLY CRAP! this thing looks awesome. you made it look like it should've come like that as standard. also, the fan mount for the top looks like the radiator shroud for a car. just sayin'.
dangit. he fixed it.
+1 for the transformers stuff.
you can kiss my NAS
your racing setup looks really nice. hopefully you'll find a different way to have a hand brake, as that shifter with springs looks kind of sketch.
Holy mother of pictures! i think nearly 100 pics is more than enough.
280x is still a decent card. As for the FX, if you find a decent deal they still are really good processors. no they don't have the single core performance of a newer intel chip, but for multi-thread usage like video rendering, they run good. don't get me wrong the FX lineup is getting closer to being antiquated, but they still are decent. (this is me trying to be as unbiased as possible. personally i am neither here nor there in terms of company loyalty. Whatever CPU/GPU manufacturer makes the better performing part for a particular person's uses at the same price or lower than the other guy is just better for that person.)
because 150 FPS at 1440 isn't enough. Personally i would've gone with the 1080. 1080Ti is really just pointless for gaming, unless you want bragging rights. A 1080 is way more than enough for gaming. Hell even my 1060 3gb is a bit more than enough for gaming (we're talking 80-100fps average in Doom on ultra settings at 1080p).
the shrouds also don't cover the entire length of the case. When i had upgraded my own PC i had enough money to buy a 560X, but instead got a cheaper case (Deepcool Dukase WHV2) that has a full length shroud. I put the extra money into a better ram kit.
parts list? more pics?
the irony of the name of this is killing me, and i'm not even an AMD fan.
nevermind. just learned that the 780 was on keplar.
ehhh. that car isn't really rice. vinyl wrapping is a new thing, and in some cases (like this one), it looks really good. but i guess, to each their own.
nice civic. my dad was thinking about getting a 2015 civic si sedan. he decided to get a 2015 WRX instead. more power and torque (anything has more torque than a honda) and AWD. His is modified too. cobb access port, nameless performance axleback exhaust with 4" mufflers, raceng shift knob, custom stereo system (supports apple carplay), custom HID retrofit headlights, and blacked out taillights (the housings are black, not the cover. they're LED too)
AHHHHHHH! fix the cable management.
my goodness that cooler is ugly. but, i guess what i say about car culture (and a lot of people say about car culture) applies here: to each their own.
off topic did you watch the new Doctor Who episode yet? if not, you should. it's amazing.
ummmm. there IS a founders edition 1060. it costs 300 USD though, which is $50 over MSRP. just go on youtube and watch the early reviews, most of them are of founders edition cards.
ah. makes sense.
i have the same processor as you. it's an amazing chip for the money. although, why do you have yours liquid-cooled? can't overclock it on that board. just for expand-ability maybe? the stock cooler (while ugly af) is quiet enough and does the job really well (i'm getting idle temps of around 23-24c and load temps of 55c).
i found an error in your description: you said "RAM memory." you do know RAM stands for Random Access Memory right? saying RAM memory is a bit redundant.
seen as the RX 470 is essentially a cut down 480, an FX processor could bottleneck it. not sure though, i would have to look into it a bit more, but that's the general consensus with FX processors.
that's exactly what i was thinking. Why pair a lower end GPU with a higher end CPU.
somebody get velcro man!
does your motherboard support dual GPU mode? if so you should try enabling it and see if you get any performance gains.
the GTX 285 was a dual GPU card right?
ok, i know i've said this before on previous builds using the Deepcool dukase WHV2 case, but you can take out the optical drive bay. take the left side panel off, the front panel, and then look for some small screws around the ODD bays. unscrew those and the entire bay assembly slides out.
yeah i do. And it wasn't that bad. nitpicking hard would be me telling someone that their fan cable is at the wrong angle. i was just stating something that would make the sytem look a lot better.
please rotate the cooler 90 degrees counter clockwise. the AMD logo should be facing the top of the case.
Shark bait oo ah ah!
where's the pricing and the rest of the description?
i thought that the X Sku's weren't coming with a stick cooler at all.
yeah, they're way off. that i7 didn't cost that much NEW, and 16 gigs of ddr3 is like 60 usd nowadays.
Wow. I had one of those 560 Ti's in my previous rig. still a pretty kickass card of you're not planning on doing anything like super demanding triple-A titles. Also they run wicked hot. Have fun dealing with that PSU as well. i've had raidmax power supplies in the past and all of them went out on me within a year. I switched to EVGA PSU's now.
check ebay. i've found 560ti's for 30-50 usd. also make sure you weren't looking at the special edition 2gb 560ti's. THOSE can be up in the 100 USD range.
umm... why isn't your GPU in thew top PCIE x16 slot? it should be unless the slot doesn't work.
it was a game of thrones reference (i'm assuming)
just higher clock speeds, that's all.
wow... your cat is quite tubby.
+1 for the O.G HBM graphics card.
that would only work if it had AMD components in it (possible flamewar?)
i really don't like that case, but to each their own.
oohhhhhh! the roast!
what do you mean? it's still brown and browner.
do you do this on every build?
you are one of the first lefty gamers i have seen. i mean i'm left handed when writing (and eating), but use my right hand for everything else... get your mind out of the gutter!
i don't have a car myself (i'm only 15 and in new york state you can't get a licence until 6 months after your birthday, also i have no job), but i have a friend who has a 1989 nissan S13 coupe that he uses for drifting. last week he was running it a bit too hard breaking in a new motor (turbo swapped KA24DE running stock internals on 10 lbs of boost) and grenaded the thing. hole in the block and everything. plus it knocked one of the oil lines on the turbo off, so there was a LOT of smoke. i'm not much of a nissan/honda guy anyways (more of a subaru person, and no i don't vape (hahaaaaa, joking about car stereotypes that aren't even true)), so i didn't feel that bad about it against, say, blowing up an EJ25 in a subaru STI. I would hope to get a 2003 WRX as my first car, but i doubt i would be able to find an un-modified example.
please take off the tempered glass warning labels, they are really useless unless you're transporting your PC.
i ate it
