It holds up well. Just don't expect it to do VR or some newer titles like FH4 or Dirt Rally 2.0 at the highest settings. And going up to 16gb of ram would be advisable.
+1 for the dog
so I might be getting rid of my 320. For another 320 lol. But a QM model and it comes with a case. Gonna pull the Duncan Designeds out of my current one and transfer them over.
In all seriousness though, this is an amazing looking build.
You've got a sweet looking NAS
it'd be nice to see more pictures, and possibly what your thoughts are on all the parts. From that one picture it looks really nice though.
wow. Just. Wow. This is absolutely beautiful. I'd like to get into custom water cooling, but i don't really have the balls to do it lol.
an alternate name for this would be: "don't tell the wife". Honestly, this computer costs more than most people spend on their first car lol.
Looks absolutely gorgeous.
looks pretty good. You just need to fix the cable management, and move the graphics card up to the top PCIE slot and it'll look really nice.
because i don't own enough games in total to fill it lol. It'll be a while until i ever fill it.
Why thank you. I was going for a decently clean look. I didn't want anything too flashy.
i have stands upstairs, i was just using the guitar and bass for some riff writing stuff, and didn't feel like bringing them up there at that moment.
So it's been a while, but i pulled the trigger on a new guitar in January. It's an all original Ibanez RG320 from 1998 in grey pewter. It's got a few dings here and there, and i had to re-setup the floyd rose on it, but it plays and sounds amazing. and best of all, it was cheap. only 130 USD, when brand new it was over 500 USD.
i just... what? sigh keep on scrolling sean, keep on scrolling.
geez. that profile pic is pretty accurate, 'cause you're always watching.
Really nice. looks like one hell of a sleeper PC. I think i've said this before in a previous build of yours, but as a car person (and a subaru fan) i love your desktop wallpaper. looks awesome.
although i'm pretty sure a q6600 can't stand up to being thrown down a flight of stairs, drown in a sea, have a camper-van dropped on it, and be dropped from the top of a building (old top gear reference there).
I'm liking the guitars. nice to see another person who's into guitars, computers and cars. One question, what's that red Ibanez? looks awesome. I only have 1 guitar, because i'm poor. It's a Squier Strat starter pack guitar. Came with an amp, gig bag and tuner. Currently saving for an Ibanez RG321 that came up for sale in my area for $180.
Holy crap! 85 pictures?! i'm gonna be here for a while. looks awesome though. love the 2 fast 2 furious style vinyl inside it.
you can never have too many pictures with a build like this one. looks amazing.
the ketchup and mustard! it's horrible! looks like a damn burnt hot dog!
beetlejuice, beetlejuice, beetlejuice!
oh. they look pretty slick. Especially in this computer. This PC just looks amazing.
where did you find that ram? i want some.
Looks amazing. one question. is the name a reference to Frodo's sword in Lord of The Rings?
+1 for your cat.
usually i'm not a fan of green coolant, but this thing somehow pulls it off. looks awesome.
damn that thing is beautiful. i was thinking of getting a new NZXT kraken like the one you've got. they're amazing looking.
i'm loving that keyboard. looks like it's in pretty good condition too. What switch type is it running? Those keyboards came with a variety of Alps switches if i'm not mistaken.
God that case is beautiful. Can't say i'm a fan of the thickness of your CPU rad. also, you should've mounted it in the front. then the tubing would just be a straight shot to the radiator, but it won't affect performance, just aesthetics.
looks like a corsair strafe RGB.
Also just noticed the SLS model in there as well.
personally i think Thermaltake Riing fans would've worked better. less bleedthrough on the fan blades. this thing still looks awesome though.
Hey, shift happens.
my god that video card is gorgeous.
+1 for the P1 model car sitting in your case.
OOOOO! founders edition! don't see many people using those.
you can just kiss my NAS!
Why do you have both the H100i and H7 listed? did you switch coolers and forget to take the one out of the list.
i think everybody does one of these, but it looks amazing regardless
for a minute i thought you named it after the general motors EV-1. that aside, it looks like a nice system. i haven't looked at the arctic cooling liquid coolers, but i think i might. How is that cooler working for you?
with a build like this, 47 pictures is never too much.
i think you should've gone with an i5, but that's just me. an i5 is $80 more, but has 2 more actual cores, and is better value for money.
I said this before on other PC builds, but why didn't you put your graphics card in the top slot? you'll have better airflow (since your case has a PSU shroud), as well as possibly a fraction more performance.
my god. that case has enough room to fit 2 systems in it. i think it's taller than me when i was 4 years old. it's so tall that you could climb up it and be at the same height as mount Everest. It can be mistaken for the empire state building.
not gonna lie, that ASUS case looks pretty slick.
