You have to water-cool with the board as there are no VRM heat sinks btw guys so don't buy without a custom loop.

They copied the design with the "colored ring." And made trash fans out of them.

No, the ring on the fans was corsair, Thermaltake just made them RGB. Even the fan blades are almost exactly the same

Thermalfake is trash, don't buy from them. They only steal other companies ideas and make them worse.

Have you looked at intel's own site recently?? https://ark.intel.com/products/97129/Intel-Core-i7-7700K-Processor-8M-Cache-up-to-4_50-GHz

It says up to 16 lanes -_-

When you mounted the pump-res cobo, did you have to drill holes in the case?

:) Intel has an "archive" of all the data on each cpu and it tells u the lanes somewhere XD

Well ok then :) keep in mine when benchmarking and a few other tasks, it makes a huge difference.

Well, your CPU isn't failing, your cpu has 16 PCI-E lanes it supports. Each m.2 SSD takes x4 lanes each so 8 lanes there. Then each gpu will t ake anywhere from 2-16 lanes. And because you used 1/2 of your 16 lanes (8), each gpu will have to run in X4 mode, or 4 lanes.

I was origionally going with the same CPU in my build, but then I realized I need to go into X99 to get enough lanes for 1 m.2 and my two gpus to be in x16 mode.

Got to love two 1080s in SLI each in X4 Mode XD. Your 7700k has 16 lanes + two name ssds that are M.2 each taking X4. Epic fail on the CPU Choice there!

P.S. Noice build in terms of ascetics.
