Are the fittings on the Kraken pump pushing against your g.skill ram? I have this happening on my current motherboard and i'm thinking about picking this one up, but I dont want to have the same thing happen to me again. In other words, is there enough clearance between the ram and the fittings on the cpu pump.

Bought an rtx 2080 but temps are just plain awful. Nearing 100% GPU Usage i'm seeing upwards to 80s (C) and that is with having the fan speed at 80% and the case fans at 80% (this makes a **** load of noise) .. Also at 1440P like you :(

It's a bit tricky, but not impossible. Getting the gpu out again while the radiator is mounted is very hard though. I'd advice setting the gpu in first and then attaching radiator in the front :)

I'm so happy to see someone using a dual screen setup with these monitors. I really wanted to see what they look like and I'm sold on the result! Also really dig your color scheme. Question though, is the left monitor 27 inch? Because it seems bigger.

How has the gpu been holding up like this? Temps at 100% hovering around 75°C ?

I have the same case and i want to replace my atx psu for a 750w corsair sf psu and also get the same msi ventus 2080. However, i will get the V2 of this the msi ventus, as its a tad shorter and doesnt have any green branding.

My gtx 1080 ti i used to have in my case ran into temps of 83-85 degrees, i think it was being choked by the Atx psu :(

Comment reply on Jerkinprogress's Completed Build: My overpowered ITX Build

This is true. My 1080 Ti was choked for air by the ATX sized psu which blocked the perforations in the psu shroud. I had to either turn up the fans very loudly or deal with an expensive card sitting at 80-90 degrees ..

Could you perhaps tell me if you either underclocked the card ore are running it's fans at high rpm? I also built in this same case (https://pcpartpicker.com/b/hDsZxr) but with a 1080 Ti and my card is getting terrible temps. It's either that or having the fans at 60-75% of their top speed which makes a horrible noise :/

Anyways, sweet build, I hope to get an RTX 2080 TI soon. I didn't think it was possible in this form factor to be honest.

Thank you! No, I don't. It's sort of a mess there. I tried my very best but the white cable sleeves are extensions of the original PSU cables which made it very hard to do proper cable managament, given that it's such a small case + i used a full sized PSU.

It was really tricky ... It nearly didnt fit. To be honest, im pretty sure that the cooler isnt 100% perfectly seated on the CPU. I really had to squeeze it. Nevertheless, the CPU doesn't overheat so it's fine. im hardly the first one to combine these two specific components in this case.

grt!

I was considering putting a gtx 1080 ti FTW3 inside my build (we have quite similar builds) but since your card is 298mms and the ftw3 is 299.72, i dont reckon it will fit, will it?

Since I'm also using a kraken radiator in the front so clearance is as limited as in your case.

Were you able to hide the usb 2.0 header cable on the motherboard behind your graphics card? I finished my build but don't have a graphics card installed right now but the cable is so hideous to look at so I was wondering if when I do get my gpu I can squish the cable behind it.

Do you think it would be possible to feed the tubes of the kraken through the opening at the top of the white cable management bracket? I've seen some people do it with the kraken x42 but I want to get the x52 like you for better intake airflow and I dont know if there's a difference between the tubes of the x42 and x52.

Where did you place the Hue+? I imagine its quite tricky placing it considering the limited amount of space in this mini itx enclosure. Your build is making me consider going with aio cooling, but i'd feed the tubes through the opening in the white cable management bracket. Were you able to reach the smart hub in the back of the case with the nzxt aer rgb fans? or did you need an extensions to go all the way from the back of the case to the smart hub?

I was considering connecting the fan in between the heatsinks of the nh-d15s to the motherboard, aswell as the exhaust fan. (Also using the asus z370-i motherboard) and then connecting the two front fans to the hub in the back, by using two sets of Noctua NA-SEC1 extension cables to make sure they reach to the back of the case into the smart hub.

Comment reply on mekberg's Completed Build: The Fame Monster

Thank you! One more question, how did you connect all those fans since the motherboard only has 3x4 pin fan connectors. Are they connected to the back unit in the h200i? If so, how do the cables reach all the way back there? Especially for the back exhaust fan.

I'm only going to use one fan in between the two heatsinks of the noctua cpu cooler, so that ends up being 2 intakes, one exhaust, one cpu fan.

Did you remove the cable management bracket in order to fit the aio tubes through the hole at the top? I havent seen anyone doing it like this, but this way it genuinly looks pretty good. I found that with the way everyone else does it, it ends up looking kinda sloppy because of the limited amount of room.

The amount of love put into this system is absolutely outstanding. He's lucky to have a dad like you, not because you gave him an expensive build, but because of how you're looking out for his interests and schooling! He's probably very much enjoying it so far!

How did you measure the custom cable lengths? I'm interested in doing this for my own NZXT s340 Elite but I'd have no idea how to correctly measure the lenghts (this might be a very silly question). I'm however doing a vertical mounting of the graphics card so it faces the glass.

I'm really considering picking up this case to match the white drawers I have under my wallnut ikea karlby desk. Do you have any pictures of it on the desk? (I know this is sort of a weird question, but I cant find good examples since no one builds in these closed cases any longer).

Edit: Do you reckon a psu shroud should help with cable management and overall cleanliness? V1Tech sells custom psu shrouds for these cases and I'm used to not seeing my psu (I own an nzxt s340 elite.)

(+1) I really like the look of this setup, especially the color scheme. I might have to give it a go once my nzxt kraken x62 arrives. I'm in the market for a new monitor but I can't seem to wrap my head around what I'd purchase. I'm currently still using this cheap Samsung 24 inch 1080P 60Hz monitor (s24f350fhu).

I like the look of the Dell very much as it has a non-gamer look which I very much appreciate. The price difference between the 24 inch and 27 inch model in my country is, needless to say quite ridiculous. (A difference of up to 140-200 euros even for just a couple inches).

Are u satisfied with the size of the monitor at 1440p? I've seen a large amount of people say that 27 inches is the best size for 1440p, not 24 inches.

I see you're using a support bracket for your gpu. I own the same NZXT S340 Elite case and paired it with an msi armor gtx 1070 and msi krait 3x motherboard, but the gpu suffers from a significant amount of sag.

I mounted the gpu in the lower pci-e slot to make it less visible, but it's really been starting to annoy me. Does the bracket ever bother you in terms of looks and do you think it's worth it to purchase one?

I'm thinking about buying nearly the same build but building it inside of the NZXT S340 Elite black, with an i5 7500 since I'm not planning on doing any oc'ing on the cpu side of things. I have questions about this build though. The ssd covers, did you get them printed somewhere with a adhesive back and then applied them onto the ssd's ? You mentioned you put stickers on the ram, do you have any links for that ? Also, how is the XFX RX 480 doing, temperature and noise wise ?

You have a very nice build going in, so nice I'm going to use it as template for my own. I buy my parts in segments and I have the NZXT S340 Elite and the NZXT HUE + so far.
