SatanicCyanide's Completed Build: My first "gaming" build

TGND 1 Build 2 points 17 hours ago

Wow. 50 degrees at idle!? I have an Intel stock cooler and I get 30 degrees at idle. Something is definitely wrong. You should get a new cooler. According to the system builder, there is nothing wrong with fitting either coolers. One question, though. If you were to get a liquid cooler, where would you mount it? the back or top? Thermaltake's website says there is clearance for a 240mm radiator at the front, and a 120mm radiator at the back.

TGND 1 Build 1 point 17 hours ago

Yes, I would say the CPU upgrade would be better. You can always buy a new GPU as they are easy to install, but a new CPU is harder to install, but it is less stress for you to replace later on, due to how the CPU's are in stock when you want to replace it.

TGND 1 Build 2 points 4 days ago

You would be getting more frames with a CPU upgrade, just like you would a GPU upgrade. I don't want to tell you how to spend your money, but I would recommend getting a CPU upgrade first, as a better CPU is a longer lasting upgrade than a new GPU. Also, GPU's are very easy to take out and install, making the CPU a better, longer lasting investment.

I'd say to not get a 2080ti. Although there is big performance boost, a 2080 should do just fine, if you are already hitting 144fps at 1440p. Just wondering, what made you go for the i5-8600? Nothing wrong with it, just curious.

Jetfirex's Completed Build: Anubis 2.0

VERY cool looking build! Great job!

TGND 1 Build 1 point 7 days ago

No problem my dude!

Diizzel's Completed Build: Evolution of Consoler Killer

TGND 1 Build 1 point 8 days ago

I still love this case. When I was doing my first build, I was considering doing a mini-ITX build. I later chose not to (for mostly cost reasons). When I was planning to build this, I LOVED the look of this case. The build looks great my dude.

Looks great! I love the Node because of its low profile design that doesn't really ever call attention to itself. Love that you two decided to personalize it more than for what it is. Hope you two had a great Valentines Day!

BigBossJohnRoss's Completed Build: My First Build!!! Tell me what ya think!

TGND 1 Build 1 point 8 days ago

Cost may have been a limiting factor towards monitor size.

Pist0l's Completed Build: BOLDR | Q1 Build

TGND 1 Build 2 points 20 days ago

I agree. Although I have nothing against air coolers, a liquid cooler would look way cleaner and would show off the RAM.

TettenMan's Completed Build: Project Carbon Fever (PCMBE)

TGND 1 Build 2 points 25 days ago

Never seen that PSU before. Looks so cool! Great build dude!

Pcgamer097's Completed Build: The Unreal (Engine 4) PC

TGND 1 Build 2 points 26 days ago

Wow. Very clean and well built PC! Looks great! +1

wardocks's Completed Build: Thermaltake asus rog

TGND 1 Build 1 point 26 days ago

Looks like a great build, but a few more pictures would have been appreciated (maybe with out the flash on for less glare?). Either way, build looks awesome and with tons of power! Great work.

MichaelDidIt's Completed Build: NZXT 400i Threadripper 2950X

TGND 1 Build 1 point 1 month ago

True. I tend to trust the builders judgement. If that’s what they want, they should have it. Most of the time they have more experience than me lol.

LtLoustyShot's Completed Build: first water cooled build

TGND 1 Build 3 points 1 month ago

Wow! Very nice build! The RAM costs more than my entire build... lol

Vycyous's Completed Build: Parts Bin Ebay Mashup

TGND 1 Build 2 points 1 month ago

Nice build. Looks clean inside and out!

MichaelDidIt's Completed Build: NZXT 400i Threadripper 2950X

TGND 1 Build 1 point 1 month ago

Was about to say what you said. Why would you spend more money on stuff you don’t need? You seem experienced in your field, so I’m sure if you say you don’t need it, you don’t. Great build, by the way!

MichaelDidIt's Completed Build: NZXT 400i Threadripper 2950X

TGND 1 Build 1 point 1 month ago

It isn’t a gaming computer though. It’s a rendering machine. Why would he spend money on something he doesn’t need?

hunter_nc's Completed Build: Stealth Gaming / VR / Development Desk PC

TGND 1 Build 2 points 1 month ago

Looks awesome. Great idea and execution. I really want to do this now...

Graveyardutp's Completed Build: New Build

TGND 1 Build 2 points 1 month ago

I can see how that would've been a problem. But I mean you get what you pay for, so $50 for tempered glass and a clean looking front, I see why the inside is cheaper.

jswiney07's Completed Build: Project Poseidon

TGND 1 Build 1 point 1 month ago

Wow! Love the color. Great build!

Graveyardutp's Completed Build: New Build

Almost made my build in this case. Sadly sold out the day I went to buy parts. Oh well. Looks awesome my dude!

This is... Amazing. Wow. This has to be one of the coolest builds I've seen on PCPP. Bravo. I honestly think this deserves a feature.

octiny's Completed Build: Jack the Ripper

TGND 1 Build 2 points 1 month ago

Great idea. Also love the AMD representation. No doubt that it's all AMD. Even though I went with Intel (because it was all that was available at the time) I definitely would have gone with AMD.

octiny's Completed Build: Jack the Ripper

TGND 1 Build 2 points 1 month ago

Great pictures. This is quite this glorious build. The build looks amazing, but something about it with no lights on looks awesome... (Not hating on RGB, by the way, just thought the build no lights on looks nice.)

encode's Completed Build: The Home Server Build 2018

TGND 1 Build 1 point 1 month ago

That's exactly what I thought (I'm not really an "expert").

I don't know what OP plans to overclock with a locked CPU.

encode's Completed Build: The Home Server Build 2018

TGND 1 Build 1 point 1 month ago

Yeah I'm confused as well. How do you overclock an i3-8100? I have one myself, and as far as I know, are not overclock able.

Mason54's Completed Build: Project Royalty

TGND 1 Build 2 points 1 month ago

Definitely. You also wont see the space in between the sticks with all of them populated, which will look way better.

desben's Completed Build: RGB Build for my 10-year-old son

TGND 1 Build 1 point 1 month ago

Amazing build! Great dad! I'm sure he was super happy to receive this as a gift. I know I would be, lol.

I was about to comment the same thing, lol.

glerox's Completed Build: Meet project GARGANTUA, my second crazy hardline watercooled build

TGND 1 Build 3 points 1 month ago

Rare I see a PC where the front AND the back are a work of art. Kudos. Amazing build dude.

Mason54's Completed Build: Project Royalty

TGND 1 Build 2 points 1 month ago

Nothing wrong with 16 GB. I have 16 GB myself and it works like a charm with everything I need it to do.

Mason54's Completed Build: Project Royalty

TGND 1 Build 2 points 1 month ago

Nice! I bet all four populated would look amazing, along with it being 32 GB. The crystal look of it is mesmerizing.

Mason54's Completed Build: Project Royalty

TGND 1 Build 2 points 1 month ago

That would look awesome! Just wondering, is it a 16 GB kit?

Mason54's Completed Build: Project Royalty

TGND 1 Build 3 points 1 month ago

Love the look of the Trident Z Royals! Great looking build. +1

marianoazevedo's Completed Build: Just upgrading the Air Flow System

TGND 1 Build 2 points 1 month ago

A lot of people are not big fans of Noctua products (pun intended) due to look of them, but I personally love the look, especially in this build. Looks great my dude!

OllieYuh's Completed Build: 700$ Beast

TGND 1 Build 1 point 2 months ago

Nice build. I'm a Siege player as well, and I used to play on Xbox. I got 60fps with frame drops whenever I looked around or an explosion happened. Terrible. At least you and I now have the ability to get over 200fps! Cheers!

WallaceCorpPC's Completed Build: Wallace Corp PC-011

TGND 1 Build 1 point 2 months ago

TGND's Completed Build: Average Joe First Build

TGND submitter 1 Build 1 point 2 months ago

Nope, mine was brand new. If you weren't planning on getting yours open box, return it. Make sure you get what you buy. Hope this helps!

TGND's Completed Build: Average Joe First Build

TGND submitter 1 Build 1 point 2 months ago

True enough! Probably still going to be changing stuff here and there for a while.

TGND's Completed Build: Average Joe First Build

TGND submitter 1 Build 1 point 2 months ago

When I was planning the build I was thinking about RGB, but decided not to as RGB is more expensive. It didn't matter what color I made the PC though, since my mouse and keyboard are RGB, so they could match whatever I made. Would definitely like RGB, though.

TGND's Completed Build: Average Joe First Build

TGND submitter 1 Build 1 point 2 months ago

Yeah, I would've opted for the SPEC-05 had it been available. Thanks!

TGND's Completed Build: Average Joe First Build

TGND submitter 1 Build 1 point 2 months ago

Yeah, I checked that on every CPU I was considering. My brother had an i7 4790 and I needed to make sure that the CPU was at least near the performance of that.

TGND's Completed Build: Average Joe First Build

TGND submitter 1 Build 1 point 2 months ago

Thanks! And you're absolutely right, it was fun planning and building this. Definitely never buying a pre-built.

TGND's Completed Build: Average Joe First Build

TGND submitter 1 Build 1 point 2 months ago

Exactly what I was thinking when I chose the 8100. I still have plenty upgrade potential with the mobo and PSU I'm using.

Great build dude! Always nice to help out family. +1

TGND's Completed Build: Average Joe First Build

TGND submitter 1 Build 2 points 2 months ago

Yeah, the CPU cooler was definitely future upgrade, but that'll have to wait. The temps are fine right now, and if anything a new CPU upgrade would come along with a better cooler upgrade. Thanks for the suggestion!
