PS finally died 2015 Oct 25th :((
Thank you for the kind reply :D
What will you do with the left over AMD parts?
Rough around the edges but good none-the-less +1. Will you be posting brothers pc?
Should have completed photos before posting!
Just make a half plastic dome with a fan at the bottom and top to vent it out.
Or not, very nice build.
I would redo the thermal paste if you're getting 76c on full load.
Nice build +1
Just exchange your psu if there's a odd sound coming from it..
Do Not Open your psu, It holds a charge even after you unplug it...
You can die from a psu shock.
AMD kicks *** !
Publish date/complete dates are wrong.
Wrong picture/case posted
Wrong ram posted, unless you really have 12 now and looking for 8 more.Just go with 8.
No hdds posted. Just post them without a price if they were free.
Why spend 15 on sweet fans, when air still can't flow due to cables?
You'll have fun with the fx6300, mines still kicking strong since March2013 without the need to OC.
Posted wrong hhd
+1 This build is very similar to mine :D
Ouch 200 bones for mircosoftie . I bought win7 home edition on reddit for 24 bucks on my second build , no more spending 90 bucks on a OS let alone 200 .
Once the thermal paste sets your temps will rise .
Fx-6300 has been running like a dream and I haven't had to OC mine . Could have saved an easy 50 bucks and went with a cpu fan cooler .
Should have bought the ram together , buying separately will cost more .
I'd take a fx-6300 over i3 anyday.
+1 for sure , nice build ! Wait till 4k monitors can surpass 30mhz before purchasing one .
I would buy a cpu cooler and fix those cables . +1 nice build
I would add a cpu cooler when you have a chance . +1 for the pc , I built one in march 2013 very similar to this one .
Make sure your mobo can do 2400ram . I had problems setting my ram to 1866 but finally was able too . +1
They sell dvd face plates in all colors . Nice build +1
Keep the 8 gigs of ram .
Damn nice prices , +1 for your GPU .
Nice Build ! +1
Rather high temp for a idle cpu . Nice build +1
My fx-6300 is a year old and still kicking strong ,never any problems and good temps ! :D +1
I take it you love to race :D +1 awesome build !
Nice build ! :D +1
Hopefully it's just a burnt out l.e.d .
Nice build +1
Nice build +1 . The fx-6300 and LE 2.0 mobo hasn't let me down yet .
The fx-6300 hasn't let me down yet :D +1
That GPU is bigger then the kids torso .+1 for your build !!
Downvotes are probably from the lack of photos , description and prices .
Copy paste your post into your description .
That last pick made me spit out my coffee involuntary !
I should go buy that GPU in the States , that card is 220-250 in Canada .
Nice price range and part selection ! +1
Nice write up and cool Pc +1
When I see 2500-3000$ built systems , this is what I expect to see !!! Thanks for posting this beauty . Also can you post the date ,I knows it's before the Hanswell cpu but a date would be ideal . Thanks !! +1
A tip : Not good to have your Pc directly on the carpet like that .
Very true . But I must tell you in the past I've had problems with all my ddr2 ram , ddr3 not so much . So I chose the motherboard with 4 ram slots rather then 2 so if 4gb isn't enough I would have the option of adding 4gb more instead of selling my 2x2 and buying 8gb. To keep it all even. Too expensive to play the ram game .
I also looked at 2133 and 2400mhz ram to compliment the APU but only seems to be sold in kits of 8gb.
Had I gone with a cheaper board I could have gotten the price to a 222$HTPC . Thanks for the comment :D
I like how you choose a APU and GPU , makes for more options in the future .Price is fantastic . +1
Also you gave me a great idea for a gift with that QR in a picture frame . Many thanks !
Your Pc is looking pretty damn sweet . +1
I was gonna say buy a corsair for 8 bucks more at 62 but those are Canadian prices .
Same I love my fx-6300
All is good . Still works :D
How the hell did you go from -76 to +4 in like 7 hours ...
Oh nvm it's a repost .
Yesterdays price was 3700 now 2033.
Whats that express card a tv tuner , soundcard ? That GPU is massive !
Beauty of a build + 1 !!!
Also they sell Fractal Design (Black) Side Panel for Define R4 & Arc Mid Case online worth the little extra to show off .
Your setup is worth the 8 stitches +1 . Also a rubber band would have helped with the thumb screw .
I have the same htpc build ( APU and case). I'm just finishing up on pics and updates .
Probably post it tomorrow . Not as fancy as yours but functional nonetheless.
It's so light on the wallet it floated to the marble ceiling .
And they said 16gb of ram was a bad idea ....lol
Nice build +1 . Update what you decide to do with the cpu :D
Very nice build ! +1
If you plan on running 1080p please let me know how the Intel Core 2 Duo E7300 2.66Ghz Dual-Core holds up .
I too have a very similar build and it hasn't let me down ! :D +1
:You might want to check out the Air flow in your case .
:My hd7770 never goes past 52-54c on full load . To see your temps at 71c concerns me . Might be a weak gpu fan , a clogged fan , air pocket in your system that's affecting proper air flow .Same with your cpu . I believe it's rather high then it's suppose to be .
:Try for starters .... removing your pc from that window (if that's where you keep it ). The sun shinning on the case warms up the insides from past experiences .Even if the air from the window is nice and cool .
:My only tiff with this build would be the 200$ , 1000 wattt PS . Bothersome yes , But end of the world NO . Your mobo supports the whole fx series so if the fx-4170 is not to your liking you can upgrade it , same with the 7770 .Ram too is a little bit overkill but with prices of ram today you could keep 8gigs and sell the other 8 and still make a profit or the very least break even . Or keep it and never have any low ram issues .
+1 for your build
:Hopefully people will realize this isn't pcpart-BUDGET-picker.com and stop down voting for expensive parts you choose .
: Most importantly enjoy your build :D
