I did not paint it nor do I have that bed anymore lul
One I believe.
The performance of the different models is within 5% of eachother, so it's not too bad off. Even 1440p isn't horrible on the 3gb
You can get the 1700 to 4ghz on water. If you're gonna do any content creation, photo editing etc. The Ryzen processor would be a much better fit.
How's modded mc running for you? I had issues with low frame rates in it and was wondering if anyone else was having issues
I feel like you could get something alot beefier for overclocking at that price. If you're not overclocking it will be fine.
There ya go haha, have you took the other stuff into consideration?
I'd probably get a different cooler. Otherwise great build, will last you a very long time.
You'll be fine. The g4560 is a great bang for buck processor. You might notice a little stutter due to lack of threads, but it wouldn't be bad.
If you're shooting for 4k, I'd shoot for a ryzen processor, as a bottleneck will pretty much disappear completely from the cpu at that resolution. Considering a ryzen 7 1700, as it is a good bang for your buck processor. And I know you're doing it for aesthetics, but 32GB is way to much RAM if you're gaming. Considering 4x4GB instead, if possible. I have realized there is no 4GB kits for RGB RAM, ignore comment. For storage, definitely shoot for either a hard drive/SSD combo or a 1 TB SSD. 500 GB will definitely not be enough. It looks like you plan on water cooling so I will leave the GPU alone. I'd say everything else is good, unless you have room for a second monitor. Would definitely recommend at least dual monitors.
Well amd packs alot more cores into their processors for cheaper. The ipc is a little lower but it's still great price/performance. For the price of the i5 you could had gotten a 4c/8t processor from amd or a 6c/12t for like $16 more
+1 for being good friends
Ryzen would had been smarter, but good build none the less
B e a u t i f u l build +1 but quick question, if you're doing content creation, why didn't you go for ryzen 7?
Nice budget build, you could probably sell the cpu and mobo for a decent xeon mobo combo. Still, +1
He mentioned his other system died. Hence why he got this, probably because his entire library was already there.
extremely good. I ran out of thermal paste, and it still did fine without it.
They kindaish do. Idk, I'm not a huge fan of the new GPU designs coming out.
Craigslist is great
I was extremely happy with the price. I thought I was gonna get scammed lol
Goodwill, duh :P
Gotta love thermaltake
eh? I'm not gaming on it so
I didn't really pay attention to it, I basically never have thew side panel on anyways. I don't like the one that came with it. As soon as I find the time to make a custom one I will switch the fan.
They're not actually supposed to start selling for a couple weeks
They've been in production.
To be fair, people already have there hands on Ryzen 5 because retailers weren't being enforced on the embargo.
There's already been leaks, they keep up.
Told you :P
Awesome build! Almost identical to mine, sadly my system isn't booting though :( +1
I've looked around and can't find anything saying there won't after they confirmed there would.
great build! +1
Has AMD confirmed this? I thought there were leaks of the hexa core 12 thread processors.
Fair enough, it's pretty buggy right now, although I didn't get near the results others were getting in bemchmarks, I was getting +5fps over everyone with the same specs and same settings. So I don't know, we'll see how it goes and how the r5 and r3 series launches
have you tried pushing the overclock any more on the CPU on stock cooler? I want to see what others are getting for the stock cooler, it seems pretty good. I pushed my 1700 to 4.03 GHz on it, but it gets a little toasty. Great build though, id +50 it if I could.
EDIT: Is that an LED panel on the bottom of your case? I NEEEEDDDD IIITTTT
Oh man another red and black build on PCPP, what a surprise
lol, all jokes aside, great build! +1
Post it on here, eBay, and Craigslist
Depending the packaging and condition, anywhere from $40-$55
Looks pretty good, especially for not having a PSU basement. Well done!
I would probably go for the 5820k then. Even if x99 mobos are more expensive the 6820k provides 2 extra hyper threaded cores which is worth it in my opinion
What's your budget?
I'm gonna be downgrading my bios so I can overclock the i3 using the baseclock method. And it also adds an upgrade path anyways.
I have an M9 for my i7 rig it runs everything super cool so I approve
I ordered the 450 watt because I don't think my clients going to need to upgrade much in the future
I was considering that but I want a 500 watt

Great build! The 1060 and the Rx 480 are both amazing budget cards, and are allowing people on budgets to get a great gaming experience on a budget.
Nice budget build! Athlons are strong performers for the price!
