Now this.. this is glorious.
It would, yes.
He's a very dedicated Slipknot fan
The set up is mostly Corsair and some Asus with a couple other brands mixed in. My storage set up maybe a little strange. I have the 970 evo for my OS/priority as well, and the 860 as my kind of more immediate storage like games and my most important documents. But I was running out of room and had the barracuda that I popped in for mass storage. It actually failed on me once and I had to RMA it but it's been functional since. I still backup regularly anyway cause I don't really trust it lol. I'd say if you're considering an HD for more storage go western digital. They're a bit more reliable IMO especially if you go WD black.
I definitely agree. It's among a couple suggestions I have for him
Well deserved feature. Should call it The Clockwork Tower
Dropped BY 10C not TO 10C
Gotta show all the brands a little love now and then
Maybe one of these days Corsair will make speakers too lol
This has got to be by far the best sub $500 build I've ever seen. Mad props.
This is some mad genius work +1
Nice GamersNexus modmat btw
I can't decide whether to be more amazed by the build or the photography
It's a +1 for me
Can never go wrong with a sleeper build. Nice
That is a dream desk set up you get there. And about your issue OCing your 1080ti, I've been having the exact same issue with my 1080 SC. Think I managed to get something like a +27 on core clock before Unigine started crashing. Must be something about the SC models I guess.
So far it's been working great. Loads quick, games are running smoothly, thermals are great even with a low profile cpu cooler. When I added the LED fans on the front I moved the original fans to the top to add more airflow. Only drawback so far is the noise since the original case fans are a bit loud. So I might just remove the top fans or switch them out with some silent fans. Still working on upgrading my peripherals.
That's good to hear. I've seen quite a few Bitwit videos on youtube on fractal design builds
Mm them bargains. How are you liking that fractal design case? I've been considering doing a build in one
From what I read at least
I didn't know sandisk made m.2 drives. It's got a better write speed but slower read speed than optane. Cause it's sata based rather than pcie
Never heard of that brand. Looks good though especially the price
27 would be nice but I am limited on space unfortunately so likely I would have to settle for 24 at least temporarily
How about the 24" model? It's significantly cheaper
I have seen some adata and western digital m.2s about the same price but read and write times weren't much of an improvement
What are your thoughts on AOC agon?
Works fine for someone who doesn't want to spend as much for a m.2 ssd and plans to use strictly as a boot drive (as long as you don't follow Intel's provided instructions of course lol) but the more I think of it I'll probably swap it out for a 960 evo at some point
Bitwit definitely has some helpful videos. Entertaining too
With a lot if help from YouTube
I was considering liquid cooling but I'm kinda paranoid about it. I've heard a couple stories of leaks going horribly wrong. And so far even with the fan I have no I haven't seen any spikes in temp. I'll see how it works out if I start gaming in either 2k or 4k. If I start having temp issues I might switch to liquid at that point
Figured I went overkill on it, just got in anyway on impulse once I realized I got a discount on it haha
Thanks! it's definitely working well so far
Thanks, I definitely plan on upgrading that monitor once more money comes in haha. I've been eyeing the 144hz QHD Gsync monitor from dell for a while now
Yeah I was thinking of doing a normal m.2 drive originally but mostly just wanted to see what the hype was about with the optane memory. Figured for only 60 bucks might be worth it
