Nice! I look forward to seeing your build. I have learned to really love the Air 740.
Honestly, I just game. The games I do play (Destiny and Witcher 3) take advantage of SLI. I plan on upgrading to a 4K 144Hz HDR monitor when it releases next year. 1080 Ti's in SLI will not even come close to getting to that framerate, but it will help.
Thanks! I took me about 20 hours to build it. I honestly do not remember what model of desk it is, but I do know it is Whalen Furniture. I bought it in 2012. I tried doing a search for it and I am unable to find it.
Look up Lunar New Year Super Master Stars Piece Son Goku. Hope that helps!
The threadripper wasn't out when I built it. If I kept listening to everyone to wait, I wouldn't have a PC. When the 7980XE comes out, I plan on upgrading to that. Hopefully it still releases at the end of the year.
All I do is game, so the 7700K is fine.
One is an open back set and the other is a closed back set. Both are a different impedance creating different sound stages.
Thanks! I look forward to seeing your build.
Thanks! I just recently switched over to PETG. I guess I should upload an updated photo.
I'm going to play with it some more when I get home.
Absolutely gorgeous build man! I have not seen many builds using the PVC serial block. I think it looks amazing, which is why I used it on my build. I will switch over to PETG here soon since I have all the parts. The flexible tubing was supposed to be temporary till all my parts showed up, but I ended up leaving it till I have a long weekend to bend tubes. Now that I see your build, it gives me more reason to start the bend process. I wish I would have went with this case, but so many people have it. Yours really stands out though and you should be very proud of your build. Thank you for making my day with perfection! Congrats on the feature btw :)
OK, I thought I was the only one having issues trying to OC my 1080 Ti's. Everything I try causes my system to freeze.
The stock GPU cooler is just sitting in the box. If I decide to sell at a later date, I can put it back together.
A wonderful job on your build! I like the portability of it. You have done a good job with choosing your parts as well. Solid work.
I changed it over to corsair. I just haven't updated the pictures.
I decided to lower the CPU to 4.8 and my idle temp is 35 degrees. During stress testing at 100% load it goes to 69 degrees.
I am mainly just using my rig for gaming and running Photoshop for photo and video editing.
Thanks for the heads up!
I cannot believe I didn't think about the positive airflow. You are correct that I have a negative airflow going on. I am going to switch the bottoms to be intakes as soon as I am done replying.
You can't see it in the pics? Do you mean in the front or the back?
I might try to see how that looks at a later date. Black, White, and Red? ummm....yeah!
I love this mobo. I got it because I wanted to switch over to water cooling. Now I got it where I want it.
Maybe that CPU will come out later.
I can't get enough of these DBZ quotes lol
I love the Vegeta references here.
It is pretty quick. Thanks for stopping to take a look!
Since my name is Art, I prefer to call it a "Work of Art".
It looks insane right? I do not care if it is overkill haha
They are really loud when cranked. I'm glad this doesn't ever get hot enough to make my fans spin.
You should see the rest of mybcollection. I only have like 400 more figures.
I do the same thing at home. I just stare at it.
I like Oregon Trail
I got a pump/res combo.
I know! It makes the clear liquid look really nice.
Thank You! I was surprised by the feature.
I plan on getting more monitors later. Gotta start somewhere right?
If you decide to get an AIO, these are what I would suggest since you are all about low temps. I am going with lowest to highest (price included). Here are some options...
You can fit a 360mm or 240mm rad on top and in front.
Affordable and easy. Typical AIO
- Thermaltake Water 3.0 Ultimate 360mm ($115-$119)
- Thermaltake WATER 3.0 Triple Ring RGB ($168)
- Corsair h115i 240mm ($115)
- NZXT Kraken X52 240mm ($153) (RGB)
Still Easy, but requires some work. Starting into the Custom loop realm. Comes with a reservoir, pump, mounting options, and tubing. You could actually start adding GPU blocks later.
- EK-KIT S360 ($219) Slim series 360mm
- EK-KIT S240 ($199) Slim series 240mm
- EK-KIT X240 ($360) Extreme series 240mm
- EK-KIT X360 ($390) Extreme series 360mm
Be sure to look and see if the kits come with good static pressure fans. You could always upgrade to different fans. I suggest getting Corsair ML fans. Pricey, but they work great for radiators.
Hope this helps.
Nice build btw +1
Yeah, I just wanted the DAC and Amp. I really do not need more than that.
I will get more monitors at a later date. More than one monitor was not in my budget lol
When I go to PETG tubing in about a 10 days or so, I plan on having the fluid cooled by one of the rads.
I was really surprised tbh. Thank you!
