Its actually not an EVGA. I forget why I had to put that one in my parts list but its actually 1 stock and 1 Zotac card.
My thoughts exactly!!
Im 90% sure its $40 for each rig but id buy one copy and try to install it on more than one drive. It may work.
Compared to last month, I am quite happy lol
Just kept poking at the clock speed and I was able to push it a little further. Silicon lottery I guess lol
This PCPP staff has really been getting comment triggered lately....
I would recommend anything that isn't windows 10. Use Ethos or simple. Ethos is $39.99. Hashrates were faster on EthOS and overclocking is done in a simple config file. If I recall correctly you just add a line in the config file like:
but that can all be found on the ethos knowledge base.
Also Ethos can use other miners like claymore so yes you can dual mine
Purple is the color of royalty. Same as the liquid as well.
A single psu doesn't have the cables for 6 GPU's. Also this way the PSU's stay at about 50% load maximizing efficiency. Good luck!!
yep. Just an altcoin
Essentially. That and 2 molex power ports on the mobo as well. Usually clues to a mining mobo.
I reject your reality and substitute my own
BASICALLY WHAT HAPPENED YEA
lolol it doesn't. The G1830 is a terrible processor. I wouldn't even try to boot a game on this thing.
This particular rig is currently mining Ethereum.
Well, since no cards are actually made for gaming you have to discover which are best for it. It just so happens the best hash rate per dollar is the 470 and 480. AMD cards just always mine better.
Yep^ that. However the driver still yelled at me a lot and freezing was a common issue.
but of course <3
I was literally just about to upload my mining rig. Well done lol.
A E S T H E T I C + 1
Just above room temp usually. Around 25-30.
they both kick on at the same time at a very low rpm. And nope absolutely no issues with this GPU at all I'm actually ridiculously impressed with it. 10/10 would GPU again.
I MUST have read something wrong then while I was picking parts... Meh either was the C7 actually performs way better that I expected it to.
I wanted to do that but (allegedly) it doesn't fit. But that was according to measurements available online. Im sure if I remove the whole fan bracket it would fit.
Tiny hands master race lol
I regret nothing lol
The Caselabs Bullet BH2 :) they have other form factors as well like the BH4 and BH7.
tick tick tick timebomb
This build screams yolo. lol like... the makeshift and the shenanigans involved here are amazing.
Perfect. Flawless. This should be featured.
+1 for arizona tea.
Frikken neato. +1
+1 for cat. My cat adds a whole 10fps to any game I play.
They are CPU heavy. But every client build I put together used i5's. I used an i7 once for someone who was going to school for film and VFX. The i5 6500 is my usual go-to for client builds and they all run games at 144hz no problem and CPU loads never go above ~30%. Now I'm aware CPU load doesn't give nearly the whole story but I have a lot of faith in the i5 series as being all the power even modern AAA titles need. Now would I support i7 since I love being over the top? Absolutely lol.
Love when I see a sound card <3 +1 same card as I use in my personal rig.
An i7 is literally never needed for gaming. Ever. I build about 4 or 5 rigs a week and the ones with i5's and gtx 1080s have the exact same frame rates as those with i7s and 1080s. i7's show their power in benchmarks and CPU heavy video rendering and heavy calculation.
An i5 can do 144hz at 4k ultrawide with no problem because the power necessary for that is coming mostly from the GPU. As long as you are running at least an i5 6400 you will be fine in every game out right now.
Also +1 on the build. Looks nice and your parts choices seem thought out and intelligent.
please do. I was going to buy the 100ME because I love the MSI style and the green. I have a current rig with SLI 980 Ti's but I was thinking of doing an open air ITX build and that would compliment it nicely.
I'll buy that 970 from ya ;P (Totally not kidding)
I want that 100ME 970 so bad. XD
Yea I use that in all my budget client builds. Its an amazing price per performance cpu at a budget.
+1 for the name lol
(VFX major here) It takes load off the CPU during live preview and rendering. (depending on the particular plug in he is using) A large amount of RAM is still very useful while working with RAM previews or After effects CC's new live preview mode. They eat ram and can easily use even 64GB ram no problem.
It's beautiful. +1
+1 for cat
That LOOKS like one of the NZXT Hue system cables but now i'm curious too.
+1 for cat.
It's a solid mobo. I've used a few of these for client builds and one personal rig. No issues at all.
As an avid D.Va player. I wish I could +10 this. I love it.
