Jbock's Completed Build: Smaug - the Smallest Dragon

OmegaOverclock 2 points 2 months ago

Nice, this is a pretty interesting ITX build

Coby_fl's Completed Build: Used Part Picker

OmegaOverclock 1 point 2 months ago

No I think you should upgrade to 16 gigabytes of ram if your going to put in a 1060. Your cpu shouldn’t bottleneck the 1060

Verlena's Completed Build: I9 9900k Zigma Build

OmegaOverclock 3 points 2 months ago

WhAtS ZiGmA? +1

marzmega's Completed Build: Mega's 4k playground

OmegaOverclock 2 points 3 months ago

NVidia doesn’t price things competitively partly because they already have the larger market share and amd doesn’t take much from them in their larger markets.

marzmega's Completed Build: Mega's 4k playground

OmegaOverclock 1 point 3 months ago

Why Vega tho a 1080 is around the same price new and occasionally cheaper. Vega beats it in a few games but you’d probably save about 50-75 bucks on a 1080. I don’t disagree though. I like the ring of Vega, sounds better than 1080 lol.

By the way I don’t think I have ever seen that cooler but wow that thing is sexy. I am thinking about buying that for my build

jjbarns14's Completed Build: PC Build #1: Passion

OmegaOverclock 1 point 3 months ago

Ooh, animated wallpapers. I have seen them but I never knew how to get them. I will have to try them out, customization makes a build different from others which is what PCMR is all about!

Ironthug's Completed Build: RTX ON Ryzen 2700x 2080Ti (Done with intel)Build

OmegaOverclock 1 point 3 months ago

Yea I meant red team, I don’t know why I typed green team, I mean sure they have more powerful GPUs which sucks for the market because we need competition to keep prices lower. Sadly in recent years amd just hasn’t been able to produce such competition

Ironthug's Completed Build: RTX ON Ryzen 2700x 2080Ti (Done with intel)Build

OmegaOverclock 1 point 3 months ago

I love Intel but they have gotten too big of a head so I switched to green team, and unless intel gets their act together, I will never look back.

maverickncsu's Completed Build: Base 1080p ESports Gaming PC (Tomahawk Strike)

OmegaOverclock 2 points 4 months ago

Cool! +1

bhawks22's Completed Build: ICENTOSH

OmegaOverclock 1 point 4 months ago

RX 570 is a better deal than the 1050ti. And that’s coming from a guy who roots for NVidia. Team green just doesn’t have a good budget lineup anymore.

bhawks22's Completed Build: ICENTOSH

OmegaOverclock 5 points 4 months ago

1050ti plays 4K ultra high settings very well

Sounds about right.. Creative idea +1

Well you added 1,014,512 pixels. So it should look sharper, there’s nearly twice as many pixels per inch.

AurumMD's Completed Build: SPEC OMEGA RGB-Ryzen 5-GTX 1060 Build

manirelli's Build Guide: Budget Home/Office Build

OmegaOverclock 1 point 4 months ago

Ryzen 3 2200g is actually a faster processor than the 1200 so for $5 more you get a faster processor designed with integrated graphics, so you’d actually get better performance in games with the 2200g. Also, say you had to RMA your card, you can still use the integrated graphics, which are actually quite good for $99

ThoughtA's Build Guide: Great Intel Gaming Build

OmegaOverclock 1 point 4 months ago

Get two different storage devices, it’s much better to have a device to run off of and a device to save things on. I’d say get a hard drive to save recordings on in order to keep the recordings smooth and not as choppy.

Defpoint's Completed Build: Air cooled 1080ti

bajinmuu's Completed Build: My First Mid-Range Gaming/Productivity PC

OmegaOverclock 1 point 4 months ago

That’s a gigabyte card though, they are kinda crap compared to a slightly higher priced EVGA 1080 with 2 fans. I have an EVGA Dual Fan 1080 and my friend has the triple Gigabyte 1080 and mine runs about 10 degrees cooler. Morale is EVGA is a better bran overall when it comes to GPUs.

bajinmuu's Completed Build: My First Mid-Range Gaming/Productivity PC

OmegaOverclock 1 point 4 months ago

Why didn’t you just build it yourself in the first place? I get it though if your busy like some of us, I’ll admit 3rd parties don’t always do a great job at building customers pc’s. 13 of my friends bought PCs from NZXT’s LETS BLD website and none of them had a problem or issue with the computer, cable management, or performance. If there’s a company that builds a good custom build, it’s NZXT.

rjtebble's Completed Build: So Pretty!!! NZXT H700 RTX 2080

Looks a lot like the Retrovision build that came out a few days ago, still good looking. +1

rjtebble's Completed Build: So Pretty!!! NZXT H700 RTX 2080

OmegaOverclock 0 points 4 months ago

About 10-15 FPS more on 4K ultra settings than the 1080 Ti. The price hike is crazy but the ray tracing technology might make it worth it. I don’t support the insane price hike though.

hazyhope's Completed Build: Winter is cooling

PCPartPicker Blog Post "NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 Ti Benchmarks"

OmegaOverclock 3 points 4 months ago

Wait a while, if AMD gets their stuff together and manages to put up a really good fight and better graphics card, maybe NVIDIA will actually remember their main source of income is from the lower guys and lower the prices. Never know though, I say wait 3-6 months so the launch prices deflate a little, hopefully a mining craze doesn’t strike soon. The already fragile pc economy just might break if another craze happens. I hope the whole tech market crashes, because if it does the companies are going to have to compete for the consumers money again and the prices will plummet. Never know though... Never know...

AMD PLEASE THE PC MASTER RACE IS BEING STARVED BY OUR OWN KINGS!! WE NEED YOU!! EVERY UPVOTE IS 1 DOLLAR DECREASE IN 2080 PRICES!! AMD PLEASE HELP US!!

PCPartPicker Blog Post "NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 Ti Benchmarks"

OmegaOverclock 2 points 4 months ago

I wonder what the 2050 and 2060 prices will be like and if they have the same SLI performance as the 2080 and 2080 Ti. If anything actually improved this generation it’s that sli isn’t a complete money grab anymore, the performance increase is almost worth the money. If it’s like that on the 2050 and 2060 I might buy two of them. Never know though.

LiquidArrogance's Completed Build: Kermit Farted

OmegaOverclock 1 point 4 months ago

Looking through the picks kinda tedious but that cat at the end tho. Incredible build btw, so much work evident in the build. I feel like the only thing that could improve it is more RGB. XD

T1murik's Completed Build: Terminator V2

OmegaOverclock 2 points 5 months ago

I do have a question though. First, with such a small motherboard and that cooler, how close was the cooler to the ram? Also, how did you vertically mount your gpu? I am very interested in doing that for my build but I don’t know how. Thanks!

T1murik's Completed Build: Terminator V2

OmegaOverclock 2 points 5 months ago

Nice and clean build I love how almost all of it is gray. Very nice! +1

LippolisW's Completed Build: Facebook/Spreadsheet Machine for Mom

But seriously tho, you did a great job on the colors, it’s so sexy

dschneider's Completed Build: Reb Mamba

OmegaOverclock 1 point 5 months ago

Yea that will last for about 4 years, your next upgrade should be on your ram. Another 8GB stick will definitely make it feel new, and you can also buy the i7-7700K if you wanted the King of Clockspeeds for Kaby Lake. It has lots of upgrade ability so you should be fine for a decent amount of time.
