Comment reply on Valinnoris's Completed Build: NOiR! - Flight Sim / Gaming / Production System

yeah pipers are very nice to fly from what ive heard. ive only flown a 1979 Cessna 172 and a CT/4-E which is a semi aerobatic trainer the the RAAF use. I love the handling performance of the low wing CT/4.

The Comanche and the M20 are quite similar because the Comanche was co designed by Al Mooney. its kind of an inside joke because the m20 has a reversed tail and the Comanche doesn't.

My grandpa used to own a turboprop Lancair IV-P, he could fly from Perth to Brisbane (2,200nm) in 6 hrs including a stop in Adelaide for fuel. I can defiantly vouch for Lancair just be careful of the windows because he had a blowout mid flight once (probably why he sold it).

A fellow Aviation and flightsim lover i see? well ive got a few questions. What pilots licence do you hold? What ratings/endorsements do you have? What do you fly? (do you own or rent?) How long? And have you tried any of A2A's aircraft? (Piper Comanche is my fav)

nice build BTW :)

I just game, I mostly play Heroes and generals, rfactor, and FSX. I wish I had a better CPU cause fsx is CPU hungry

I own a corsair spec 3 red and I'm loving it, plent of room for my sapphire 270x toxic and my vs650 psu cables. I'm glad there's plenty of room behind the mobo for the cables. I was contemplating recycling my hp pavillion a1000 series case circa 2005 but I decided against it (glad I did).

unfortunately you cant. us Aussies get shafted in regards to pricing and product availability, this is probably due to lack of competition and the low Aussie dollar value. Don't despair there are a few online shops like MSY, CPL, umart, pccasegear but there are hardly any retail stores. Americans are lucky they have Walmart, best-buy, micocenter etc.

Comment reply on Forum Topic "Add umart and msy in Australia"

I'm not sure about msy because their product lists are in .PDF and they have individual stores around AUST with different stock levels and pricing. This isn't the quickest/ most user friendly way of selecting/ buying parts. with umart its basically the same. none of these stores have a centralized online store like their counterparts e.g. CPL. on the other hand it wouldn't hurt to add these on PCPP to see what people think. Another good point is umart and msy are the closest major computer store to me but i still wish they would build one in Toowoomba though.

Great to see a fellow Aussie here http://au.pcpartpicker.com/user/Noobkill12/saved/dWJRsY its over budget ($1661.00) but u can remove the crossfired 270x to save $220. Its a re-purposed blue themed build for one of my mates, it uses mostly corsair parts Edit: had to revise my psu and edit price thanks SIMJEDI

I have to agree here I wouldn't go with the asus mobo probably because I'm a msi fanboy but asus boards are usually good from what I've heard. 1+ for recycling old parts, no need to waste perfectly good parts am I right?

well that answers some of my questions but not all of them what i want to know is the difference between the 750 and 750ti. The only difference you guys have pointed out is power consumption but the diffenrence is only 5W

this build is better than i first thought because i can easily upgrade the cpu when the time arises. the only problem is the mobo, its a little crap because it has 1 pcie slot. is there a better mobo (if i had to go over budget on something it would be the mobo). in my opinion a pc should be built around the mobo because i dont want to replace it any time soon.
