Sorry for some of the really bad quality photos of the setup! The camera doesn't perform well in the low light but with the lights on the lighting doesn't stand out as much.

I went with the 6600k because it was quite a bit cheaper mainly. I think it was over $150 (Canadian) difference between the two

Thanks for letting me know! I'm only using it as backup storage and not my main drive, so hopefully the temps won't be a problem. Not sure what else I would do though. It looks horrible with a green PCB

Thank you! I spent so much time matching the parts and painting stuff. Is definitely worth it in the end!

Yeah, I largely regret the decision. I bought the headphones a couple years back. I originally planned on getting the A40s (a much more sensible decision) but suddenly received a scholarship from my school. I felt rich so I threw reason out the window and bought this.

This build was actually finished a few months ago. I planned on tweaking my setup a bit so I didn't get around to posting it for a while. Never had much time either. I originally planned on drilling some holes in the desk for the keyboard cable and attaching the headphones under my desk

Hey, sorry for the late comment, but what is your fan configuration? Is the front totally intake, and the top and back exhaust, so negative pressure? How is it working out for you?

Nice! What framerate are you getting? Getting a 1080 for 1440p. Does it stay above 144 fps always?

to be honest, a huge part of me choosing the corsair fans and filling up the slots is for the looks. I have the money to spend, and love the look of the corsair fans.

thanks for the help though. I'll keep doing my research

The 6600k seems to have much better value. For being over $150 (Canadian) cheaper, the overclock at least this one here is CRAZY! Some people can only overclock the 6700k to ~4.7

Dayum, that is quite the overclock! Many people are saying they can only get it up to ~4.2 but you get 4.8GHz? Teach me master...

As well, rivaling companies make them want to innovate faster: always trying to make the better product than the other company. I don't think they would just rely on marketing

Awesome build! Sorry for the.... late comment..... but as I am planning a build in the same case, I am wondering about the choices you made on the fans. Why are some of the AF120s ~67CFM while some are ~40CFM? Was there a purpose in that? Also, where did you put each of the fans? The AF140 in the back, two SP120s on the radiator, but where does the last SP120 go? Sorry, lots of questions. This build is just so good...

Hope you can back to me soon!

Once again... damn smexy build
