My first thought was $1300 listing price , $1200 bottom line, is that ridiculous?
and the build comes out to around the price of a fac new CS:GO knife anyways
virtual machines, high end audio/video production
I need new underwear
This is one of those "I have no idea what the hell you thought you were doing, but it actually turned out pretty cool" type of builds

(Also i browse the builds on here almost daily but this is the first in a while that inspired me to hit that upvote)
im just glad im in a timezone where it comes on after school
if you want that to be a true space heater try passive cooling that cpu :)
(Dislaimer: please don't)
i am willing to purchase this machine off of you for $20
I just peed a little okay i peed a lot
When your case costs twice as much as your CPU
yeah they're completely seperate units
Yes as any of the PSUs listed have 24 pin CPU connectors and 6+2 and 8 Pin connectors which is pretty much nothing less than standard
if you change the PSU like you say you want to i have to recommend the EVGA G2 or GQ, and the Corsair RMx series
I know this is a rather low power build but I do recommend you get that power supply out of there sooner or later as I believe it had quite a few ripple suppression issues. The EVGA GQ is semi modular, an excellent unit, and won't destroy your wallet
Its beautiful, the pics are amazing, and you have a nice clean and sleek setup. I think i need new underwear.
(not to mention excellent part selection)

Why a GT 710? I think the integrated graphics are better than the 710. I'm pretty sure 710s are meant for people with like xeons or fx who don't need good graphics but don't have an iGPU
I think since you're currently at 1080p that a GTX 1060 will be fine. If you plan to upgrade to 4K any time soon, a GTX 1070, 1080, or waiting for the 1080ti would do a better job at dodging being obsolete at higher resolutions. If you're going team red I would honestly wait for the RX 490.
The first thing of yours I would upgrade would be that GPU, it may seem pretty standard but if you get one of the new 10 series cards, you'd be amazed how many pixels they can pump out
I have to have mine on the floor for space reason so I a have a medium sized square wood plank for it to sit on
But can it run CSGO
Any particular reason for water cooling on a locked chip?
I was able to overclock it to 4.7 MHz
I was able to overclock it to 4.7 MHz
Thats a pretty ****** overclock :P. (Unless of course you mean 4.7 GHz :)
Probably built up static and accidently fried it. Very common for people who have cases on the carpet without protection
I'm going to go ahead and say whoever had their SSD failed within a year, it may have been a user error and not the SSDs fault
Hell ye boi. No one stays a GN 1 for long unless they're trying to. GN2-GNM will come pretty easily but there is a huge gap between GNM and MG1
I promise once you hit silver elite, it will be a lot easier. All the smurfs are in either s2-4 or gn1-wherever. You'll have to win more games to get from SEM to GN1 but they will be easier. I say this as a person who was silver 2 for 6 months and within 2 weeks I got to gn2. I'm an MG1 now :)
Are those 950s in SLI? If so how do they preform?
showing off that silver 4 rank i see
Honestly Trump is a terrible person and would make a terrible president
Hillary is a terrible person but she would do quite well in office
Sadly I'm too young to vote however if I could my vote would be for Jill Stein Green Party candidate
(Also Bernie is technically not out quite yet, the DNC forces him to endorse HRC and threatened to take his speaking spot away on the convention floor. He only endorsed her so he could take his fight for the nomination as far as he can)
If you don't play CSGO this will make exactly -1 sense to you
If they're too young understand reason, they won't understand the reason you're spanking them. If they're old enough to understand reason, use reason!
I hate to be that guy but I think the integrated graphics in that pentium are better than a gt 710 card. Even if they're better, I wouldn't think it's even noticeable enough at that low of a tier that it be worth the upgrade
any particular reason for not going with xeon? generally they are more workstation oriented and better bang for your buck when going with a lot of cores
Oh I thought you meant without overclocking the 1060
They're promising GTX 980 level performance for $250 I think that's way better than worth it (of course that is if the benchmarks back up their promises)
But he could have achieved the exact same aesthetic with an i5 6400 6500 6600 while saving money. Hell if it was for purely aesthetics he could have gone with a pentium.
Any particular reason for the H110 motherboard (non overclocking) and an i5 6600K (overclocking)?
Yes it does mean it's 6th gen. It will be compatible on any Skylake MOBO
I5 6400 is $180 but it goes down in price or has some rebates every once in a while you could probably pick up for less than $170
Hey just so you know, that LED controller doesnt have to be listed as a custom part you can find it right here
The cable management isnt even that bad though
EVGA g2, P2, GQ, GS, are exceptional units to replace your current one with. Id recommend the GS because of theh price and its smaller size, slightly lower quality than the G2 but still a massive improvement over your current PSU
Ahh okay, ita too small to read on my phone because im not home and i just assumed he listed it correctly
Replace the PSU
Its never good to judge a product by its company but coolmax has released 1 decent PSU and this is not it.
Dammit i knew that just a typo. Fixed though
Very nice and clean build!
What you said about the 6850K not being worth the extra $200 for the .2 ghz is both right and wrong, the 6850K has a full 40 PCI lanes while the 6800K has 28. This means that 1 graphics card will run on PCI x16 on both processors but with 2 GPUs, it would have to use PCI x8 each because of the lack in lanes. Having both cards on PCI x16 on the 6850K means higher bandwidth between cards which is nice for higher resolution gaming
If you use SLI its worth the extra $200 but since you arent you made the right choice, just dont call something a bad value for what it only appears to be
Well the majority of the PCPP community are gamers so ill be the first to say
Throw in a decent GPU and you got yourself a rather respectable gaming PC! Nice build btw
