Why am I seeing the 120mm fans on the PSU shroud becoming a thing?
And why not? I have a 2K 144hz monitor already, why should I get a 'cheaper' monitor? I purchased a 240Hz panel for a reason.
The 2700X was a lot more than just a $50 premium when I made the purchase late 2018. I also sold the 1700 with the Wraith Spire and the RGB Wraith Spire I sold as well. I'm not new to this.
That's an amazing deal +1
No I didn't? That's Canadian currency, also relative.
I would be one of the few with a PX build on here :) Nice job +1
Good job. I probably couldn't bring myself to buy one of those little chubs of a GPU lol.
Yes, but not gamers, mainly just mainstream desktop users. It's a good approach to building due to the massive upgrades available and good bang for buck.
The FBM-X2 case is actually really clean, I may have to use it for my next flip. You got it on sale?
Your 4770K will not be able to push 5GHz on water mate. They top out at 4.7-4.8 golden sample with water.
I do quite a bit of flipping myself (check out my builds if you are interested). I notice that, sometimes, ASRock bundles GPU's and motherboards and can be great bang for buck. +1
You'd take a loss on selling your CPU, mobo & RAM from when you bought it, but you could still probably afford a Ryzen 5 1600 and a B350 motherboard with those proceeds. DDR4 prices are down.
Just heads up I heard some pretty sketch reviews on Gigabyte's AMD cards (incl. Vega).
Damn, the 4790K is still a beast, I would have just upgraded the GPU and waited for end-game Ryzen.
Nice build +1
Not bad for a 2015 PC, this was high-end midrange at that time. +1
Upvoted for the Insidetm sticker, and the AMD satire.
This is kinda like a side-grade, but at least its upgradable! Just don't wait until high-end Coffee Lake i7's become unicorns like Haswell's did.
Confirmed, the stand-offs are really weird in that case ...
The mirage effect you can configure in the Wraith Prism app looks very cool.
My current rig is so similar. Running 2600X, 1080 Ti & the AW 240Hz monitor. +1
Highly recommend a mild OC on the CPU, maybe 4.7 or 4.8GHz unless you go the delid route. +1
Maybe pop one of those 6 core Xeons in there and overclock it?
Wholesome PC building! +1
If you look at the motherboard, I am certain that it was built with the intent to upgrade shortly down the road. Probably to an 8700.
Also the free games with the RX 570. AMD just owns the budget end of PC components.
That's a very nice rig. Love team red. I'm sure that V64 can handle 144Hz! +1
Sick build, amazing OC on the 1700! +1
InWin Polaris fans are super sexy got a few of them myself.
2, 2, and 1 120mm.
Why a bottom fan in the 1st place? xD
Lol its a yoke ... I think entry level these days is RX 570 4GB.
I wish I had photography and photoshop skills as good as yours. My photography has come a long way but the way you list the specs and stuff is so sick. What software do you use?
They're pretty affordable with same quality and better looks than Noctua. Scythe has my all-time favorite coolers.
I think you mean AMD 1800X, and yea, they go for less than half the price lol
Good rig on a good budget +1
How does one lose a GTX 970?
The case is perfect!
Did your PC get arrested too? +1
Well done +1
That mesh looks cool! +1
Nice! The upgrade to Ryzen 3000 is so close though.
