It looks to me that the price hike compared to the 1080ti and in come cases even compared to the 1080, when you consider the very marginal increase in performance, especially compared to the 1080ti, results in an expensive new piece of hardware that isn't at all worth it based on these results compared to the previous gen cards. Could be the drivers, could be the card really isn't worth it. Though that's up to the consumer purchasing the card to decide. That's just my opinion, I think the 1080 and 1080ti are a far better value, unless you REALLY want real time ray tracing support.
