Just BTW, PCPP has the Nvidia reference 970 in the database, if you want to use that instead of the custom part.
Great job with those parts!
Hey, you're the noctua dude from /r/pcsleeving!
Love the whole thing, inside and out.
What an upgrade with that case. The R4 is great, but the differences between a $90 case and a $200+ case really are apparent.
It's unfortunate that so few manufacturers use purple in their color scheme, but you definitely made up for it.
The pcpp page for it actually shows it compatible with both. I'm not sure why it's being called a matx mid tower.
Yeah, there are definitely more cost efficient things to change than the shape of the loop. Anyway, the build looks great, especially for high school.
I bet. Do you think you might change it up at any point? (it looks great eiter way)
A bit late here, but I love the look of your build
The angles of the tubing bother me a little bit, but everything else is fantastic and it's not my place to judge.
He can do what he wants with the money, but depending on what work "office" entails, he might benefit from spending it elsewhere than ram. I'd assume someone spending $630 on RAM and $800+ on storage has a good reason to do so, but most people would benefit from putting their money towards different things.
Ooh, I've been looking into buying that mouse. Any thoughts on it?
(If you're looking for upvotes, people might like to see more pictures and a bit more cable-management, especially when there are cutouts for it.)
Love the black and white theme, not to mention the cabling. For the 24, 6, and 8 pin cables, are you using extenders or are those the ones that came with the PSU? They look great with the rest of your build.
Also looks like a different optical drive and ram, but those aren't as major.
Perhaps s/he got the pictures mixed up with a different build when uploading?
Your second guess is correct. The beta Steam machines/boxes shipped with a range of different hardware, from 660s to titans, and i3s to i7 4770s
I can't get to the original page, but this article lists them out.
Just by the way, the motherboard shown in the build pictures is not the one in the list.
It looks like a great build though, and great pictures too.
