Comment reply on Liera21's Completed Build: Aurora Execution

Hi ofxaos, sorry for the very late reply, I faded out of PCP slowly until I didn't check-in anymore. If it is still of help, I got my acrylic from Home Depot, a hardware store, it is 1/4" thick and I prefer thicker because it is easier to bend. I clamped the acrylic on the table with a piece of wood about 1" from the bend line and used a a heat gun (I read that blow hair dryers work too with a bit more patience) to heat along the line. Holding the free end and applying light pull, kept heating until I felt it start bending and continued until I was close to the angle I needed.

Thank you for your comments, I got the memory bundled with the motherboard and I thought that was the perfect pairing for a white build, the memory was literally made to match that specific motherboard and should stay like that.

I really want to see your build, seems like a lot of custom work, I hope you can post it soon!!

There are adapters for bigger fans, I saw some 40mm to 60/80mm custom 3D printed ones on eBay

So far, no banana comments... so... does the banana help absorb case heat in that position? How many Ks does it provide?

Clean build btw, there was a long period of time when I really wanted one of those fancy HTPC cases.

How many Ks does the banana provide? Is it enough for the daily allowance?

Awesome job bringing it back to life in a very clean way!

Impressive build and customization, I like white builds and I wasn't planning on painting the Vertical Display GPU Holder but thanks to you I can now visualize how it would look if I did and I might.

Awesome build, the cards with the bridge look killer, I think that the green light is a bit out of place and some cable combs for the gpu power cables would clean it up a big notch!

I like the black coolant as is because the clear tubing gives it a weird effect, like if it was black goop/symbiote going around, something very unusual, unique. If you wanted to visualize the flow, you may be able to add some modifier to make it look pearlescent/metallic, I haven't done a custom loop in my life so I don't know how that would work but if it can be pulled off it would be very cool.

The black coolant definitely makes the build unique, the first thing that popped into my mind was Venom.

Clean build, great job routing the cooler hoses and the light theme reminds me of Tron! Awesome stuffs!

If you ever want to get back to your test bench, you can cat-proof it by creating a custom plexi-glass cover with covered sides, you can leave the bottom open and maybe grille/fan openings on sides, there are many possibilities with the P3.

I appreciate that, I like to see how is the internal configuration in these tiny cases and how does it look in real life. I understand, it is hard to cable manage in that reduced space.

The airflow sucked because it didn't suck, the GPU is almost flush with the window, case design issue, you could make some openings on the window but then dust... and dust filters might block the view =\

Thank you for the extra pics, it is cool to see the integrated cooler before mounting.

Thank you! I was looking at the Genome before the P3 but I really wanted to get "out of the box", the dust was a concern but my previous closed case had intake fans without dust covers and dust was a minimal problem. I did cover the top with the custom plexi cover and two months in I don't see any noticeable dust accumulation, I do have a thick rug and don't vacuum often.

I've always wanted to show the GPU on my case, I don't like much how it protrudes on this case but with some work you can make it look good. Open air cases allow full view of your computer components and in this "case" you can work around pretty easy!
