Hi,I just got the same case, was wondering if yours sounds like a Tornado with all the fans like mine.

I might down the road change them to the Noctua fans, they would be quieter right?

I love my case just wish it was a little quieter ,plus I am worried on how much of a dust sucker it is with all 8 fans lol.

Curious, should I attempt to do the push pull config like everyone else is doing or should i just keep it the way it is?

Umm how do ya do the push pull config? just reverse the fans? I feel dumb lol.

I do have like 8 fans at the moment.

To be honest I really don't know how to make the wire management any better. :(

It seems fine,I mean its not blocking anything and I do have some ties holding stuff together.

hehe at least its a lot cleaner than some builds, those look like they just don't care lol.

Was going to do that but a lot of the wires from the PSU seem short in that case :(

There is one connection I couldn't do which was the HD sound on the MB,the wire wasn't long enough,I think the sound went to the top IO on the case where all the usb ,head phones etc are.

I will try again with the wire management when I get my SSD and the cooler next month or I may wait till January when I get the newer PSU.

Hi dumb question but will the Kraken fit in the Storm Trooper? Yea I know there the same cases just different color.

Just want to make sure.

I really wanted the Stryker but not going to spend $189 for it when I can get the same case but in black for $149. Why is the Stryker so much more? only thing different is the color :( makes no sense.

Think I will get the SSD in May,looking at the specs of my Tower I realized it doesn't have 2.5 slots in it and I really don't want to spend the $6 - 10 on a converter when I am going to get a case that has 2.5 slots built in.

So I will get this in April instead :)

http://pcpartpicker.com/p/YWp4hM

The case I am going to get will be bigger than my old case it seems :)

I am curious I thought about getting the 512gb version of either the Samsung or the Crucial.

My main question is will I be missing out on anything if I get the 500gb version of either the 2 I mentioned above? I mean except maybe 12gigs but other than that?

The 500gb versions are cheaper but I see the read and writes are slower but will that be too much of a problem with gaming? I never had a SSD Drive before so I really don't know much and for all I know they are lightning fast :)

If I get another down the road can I combine the 2 to make 1TB? not sure what the term is for SSD Drives,is it still called RAID or whatever?

I am scared to overclock too. Don't have much money so if something goes poof im up poops creek for a while lol till i can get another.

Yea the R9 290 is 4gig.

Why not get a 970? it has 4gig err 3.5 gig but it should be better for ya.

If they ever go down in price I would love a GTX 980 :) or one of those TI's or Titans.

You said you only get 6oHz monitor,I am going to have 3 of these in my build;

https://pcpartpicker.com/part/aoc-monitor-g2770pqu

not sure what your budget is on a Monitor but they seem to be a good choice.

Gonna get a different case with front 3.0 want to make sure everything is future proof, but now I read USB 3.1 is coming out, can't keep up :(

But other than that love the system :-)

lol you know I think I never cleaned the fan and heat sink in the past. No wonder it was 50c idle all the time :( Gonna take better care of my new system i5-4690 non k.

Its clean now, just need some rubbing alcohol and the thermal stuff and I should be set. Going to reuse the Phenom next month and use my old case and stuff. Might just use it for a server or something.

Really wish I could clean the inside of my Radeon 4870 HD card but last I tried its like its attached to something on the inside of the video card,So I screwed the screws back up,didn't want to kill it. Gonna use the Radeon in the old system,I am using my new card right now,the GTX 760 will upgrade soon to a GTX 970,then I will use the 760 in the old system.

I don't use can of air anymore,it leaks don't want to take a chance. The small Air mattress pump on blow works way better. Yes I know to hold the fan so it doesn't over spin :) I used a flat head screw driver to clean the blades, did the job for now lol.

Was thinking about getting this for the Phenom II but meh why spend big money on a old system? hmm maybe lol.

You misunderstood me,what I want to try and do is take the fan that is attached to the heat sink off so I can run the heat sink underwater to clean it,I can't run it underwater while the fan is on it cause it will kill the fan. I already knew how to do what was in the video.

Look at the pics;

http://i11.photobucket.com/albums/a182/JamesJB31/20150325_223648_zpsm2cswyau.jpg

Or would I be better off buying a new heat sink and fan? Would like to find one like the Noctua NH-L9i but for AMD CPU's like the Phenom II 940 X4.

Ok thank you,I may just stick what comes with the Noctua at the moment, not overclocking anytime soon.

Just to verify I can use the thermal stuff that comes with the Noctua on my Phenom II 940 X4 also correct?

I also need to figure out how to take the fan off the Phenom's cooler there is no screws, the fan and the heat sink needs to be cleaned,I think that's why the temps started hanging around 50c idle after a while.

I took a look at the Thermal Stuff ya recommended, who in the right mind would use a spatula?

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835426020&nm_mc=AFC-C8Junction&cm_mmc=AFC-C8Junction-_-na-_-na-_-na&cm_sp=&AID=10446076&PID=3938566&SID=

Everywhere I have read and watched youtube vids always say the pea or dime method.

Spreading it like pancakes I read and watched vids is the worst way cause it can cause bubbles and run.

I do plan to buys some, was going to get the $30 one but it comes only with a spatula not a syringe,so i will settle for the $12 amount might get 2 :)

Yea ever since I started my build this month I have been liking the quiet Concept :)

My old CPU's Stock fan was quieter than the one that came with the Intel CPU.

My old system's CPU is a AMD Phenom II 940 X4. Hmm think I can use some of the the thermal stuff that comes with the Noctua cooler on the AMD Stock Cooler/CPU? I plan to still use my old MB and CPU for maybe a game server or a cloud set up once I get a new case for my new system,I am using my old case at the moment.

Gonna try to keep the build under $360.

Hi again, well at first he changed his mind and I was going to give up and not build him the computer, but now he is sorta throwing hints out there that he may still want me to build him one.

Even if he changes his mind again I am going to build it for him anyway lol.

Btw I will be building this in June or July for him.

Gonna try to keep the build under $360.

This is what I settled with;

It must be nice to be rich :( It must be nice to not have to worry about being able to afford bills, food, clothes, etc. It must be nice to never worry if you will have a roof over your head. It must be nice to not worry if your going to have enough for rent or mortgage each month.

Been playing the scratch offs and the big lottery since I turned 18 now 41,I even have been playing Publishing Clearing House since I was 18.

Its really depressing sometimes to see nice stuff like this that you know you are never going to have in your life :(

Would love to experience Luxury at least once before I die someday.

Becareful with the site "GTA" aka www.gta.com.

Those games are too cheap to be legit in my opinion,I would be weary giving them you CC number.

I would ask the company's of those games if the site is legal or not before you buy from it.

P.S. I doubt very much you can get a legit version of Windows 8.1 from anywhere.

All ya need to do is go to Control Panel/System and Security/System and at the bottom press Activate windows.

When you put in your product key it may or may not work,if it doesn't just call in like ya had to when ya ran out of installs with windows 7 after the 3 or 4 times ya can install before ya had to call in. When the recording asks how many computers you installed the OS just say One. Which is the truth.

I have done this many times with Windows 7 Pro and now with my copy of Windows 8.1 OEM. I refuse to pay again just to put it on my new system I own,its on only one computer. its only in my home and not in a business,so its not like I am installing the system on 100 computers.
