I have a little brother who keeps running around the house. Almost every edge on the house that is about his height has one of those.
Well, I can't find the G10. The main purpose of my post was the creation of a "GPU Cooler", though.
I bet most of the "experienced users" go with custom w/c systems. IMHO the lack of this section is keeping them away from the site. :(
I followed this tutorial: http://adrenaline.uol.com.br/forum/gabinetes-e-case-mod/518203-diy-instalando-fita-led-rgb-no-computador.html
It is in portuguese, but full with images. And also, you can always use google translator.
My bad. I'll update the part list. You can check the compatibility of the G10 here: http://www.nzxt.com/product/detail/138-kraken-g10-gpu-bracket.html There is a mechanism powered by PC Part Picker that does the hardwork. :P
There is no need to be sorry! :P
But well, I did not use the "red mod"! The NZXT G10 sole purpose is to give AIO water blocks a proper attachment on GPUs.
Here is a mounting tutorial that I believe explains better how it works: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5VBE1UE5I-A
In this case I didn't follow any specific guides, the manual that comes with the G10 was pretty accurate.
I believe this is due to the lighting and camera. IRL is much more black.
Hey, Justin! I really can't say a thing about price. I bought all of it here in Brazil, paying in Reais (national currency) and I feel that exchange rates may not be fair. What I can say to you is that, you can look sleeved extensions in icemodz and mainframe customs to have an idea. There is proprably other websites that also custom sleeve cables for you but these are the one I know. You'd probably get more help at some forum. Maybe LinusTechTips, Overclockers.net or PPP own forum!
Hey, man, thanks for the compliments! And the 450D done half the job my rig good-looking! Cheers!
Done. Thanks. :P
No, I did not buy an AIO kit or something like that! I bought each part separated, from sleeving to the tool kit. The thing is that I didn't plant to sleeve any extension. The 8pin and the 2x6pin are my OCZ's own PSU cables, only the 24pin which had HUGE capactiors on it that I choosed to buy a extesion and sleeve it. About the sleeving color, all I can say that it was a "lucky guess". I had several plans of different color schemes, but in the end I guess I choosed the right one! :D I followed lutro0's tutorials https://www.youtube.com/user/lutro0/videos and did all my color schemes here http://choosemypc.net/sleeving/. This last link in particular can come quite in hand when choosing your colors.
The hardest part in setting up the Grid+ was finding a good place to stick it on Mid ATX Tower. It comes with two pieces of 3M velcro tape that made it quite easy. Find a good spot, connect you fans, install CAM and you are good to go.
Now, what does "w/b" stands for? And "red mod"? I'm sorry if those are dumb questions but I have no clue what you are talking about! :P Maybe if you enlight me I can answer you further!
Thank you, sir! :D
Those are not cable combs! I laced them using sewing line!
I followed this tutorial, perhaps you can also give it a try. In my opinion, lacing gives much more a clean look to the hole system than cable combs.
It's soundless! Seriously! Before the 450D I had an Aerocool Sixth Element which took my sleep away several times. :s But this one... My HDD is louder than the hole case together.
And thank you for your kind words! :D
Of course I won't mind! Actually, I'm flattered!
When I first water cooled I just had money for one of them, and the GPU were in a more critical situation (100ºC+ on BF4). So, I made a choice. CPU cooling will come, eventually.
When I had my PSU cables not sleeved it didn't at all. But when I sleeved them, after days researching I opted for removing the little capacitors those 6pin had at the GPU-end. If I say that it still doesn't have I'd be lying, but it is such unoteworthy that I don't complain at all.
And himself and the system around is also blue.
'Cause he ain't gotta no games to play to.
Yeah, I definitly should stick with building PCs.
Seriously, thank you for the compliments.
Oh stop it you!
Own! Thank you, kind sir/madame! You haven't seen the back of my case though. :P
I do have some slight sagging but for some reason the two 6pin connectors are enough to - apparently - hold it in place.
Best music NA 90's.
That's the very reason why I bought this one instead of NZXT or even BitFenix leds.
This is the LED stripe I use.
I dindn't bought it at eBay though, I got mine from a hardware store downtown Rio de Janeiro. Besiedes the awesome lighting these, leds in most cases, turn on in RGB colors too.
I plan to! Eventually... Thanks! :D
Thanks for the compliments! No specific reason for one stick of RAM at all. :P
No problem. hahaha :P
