Wallace and Gromit!
And a cool (wierd) system build!
1993 to be precise. I am a collector of vintage computers, so that is its home. I get 70 fps on high settings, so atm I think I am fine.
I will be graduating on Monday, so I am out very soon. Send me a PM and I'll send you my twitter handle.
Well, the two last builds totaled under 100 each. Q6600, 550Ti and an old Mac Pro
Thanks for trying!
The thing is, I have a low budget, and by the time I really need to upgrade, I will have a lot more money than I have now. I really don't mind the used parts. Also, I really want a true quad core, even though the G4560 is a decent chip.
Also, the overclocking on the 4670k is a nice feature to have and it can easily be made to 4.0 GHz.
That's fine, and I can always install Win 10 if I really need it.
I like it much better than windows 10. Personally, I think Win10 is garbage. I can run linux, but that comes with its own problems.
If 512X384 is 4k!
I don't know, I don't play Crysis.
I'll test it on my Mac Color Classic from 1993. That should get better framerate.
U need a special lead tho.
Yea, anything modern should work fine.
What is your PSU?
Stock: Intel Xeon W3520 @ 2.66 GHz and Radeon HD 7950 boost @ 925 MHz Core and 1025 Memory
Fire Strike: 6,416
SuperPosition (1080p Medium): 4481
Overclocked: CPU Speed is the same. Radeon HD 7950 is running @ 1200 MHz core and 1575 Memory with no added voltage.
Fire Strike: 7738
Nice! I do plan on upgrading to a 6 core soon!
Hopefully it still has a couple of years of OS X support. Also, MSI AfterBurner works fine on a Mac under Windows.
Here is a link to the new post!
Check out my new, better build!
I have a Radeon HD 7950 that I got for 70 USD!
Well, I have a Mac Pro with a W3520 now! I will post a build soon!
I do work for people sometimes, but I live in a rural area and can’t rely on my parents to drive me anywhere. I do work for my school as well!
It's pretty darn cold this morning! -8 F
I would like to do a cookie cutter i7 build, but all my budget goes towards my vintage computer collecting hobby and not my bank account. I need to stop buying computers!
The only way I knew it was FoxCONN was the stamp in the metal that said made by FoxCONN, and I didn't even notice it at first lol.
The Hard drives I am using were in the family. It was our NAS that failed.
Unfortunately, I could only get my G0 rev chip up to 2.7 because my dang motherboard doesn't support voltage tweaks. If I went higher all OSes failed when booting :(
AHHHH EXPLOSIVE POWER SUPPLY
Linux FTW! :)
I actually have a hard drive at home to put into it. It is a 1tb unit don't worry.
Lol! I got it on eBay!
Mac Pluses are not. Something like a Mac 128K in good condition would be though. A working Mac Plus sells for around 100-200 dollars us.
What model apple II is it?
XD I bet some graphing calculators can!
In what way?
There are benchmarking programs for it, but you will have to wait a few days.
I payed like 35 dollars before shipping.
I'm sorry about your cat. Nice computer. +1
Ok, I was not aware of that.
I would try RMAing the psu, or maybe returning it and getting a different one. You have a NEX, not a G2 and NEX psus are very mediocre in quality. I would get a supernova G2. It is a much better psu.
Yes, there is. It is possible to get it out of your bios.
Ok, just checking :)
40 dollar 600 watt psu. I would be suspicious.
I did not downvote you. I have no clue who did.
Thanks for your replies, I will look closely.
This is about what I could get.
Also, if possible, run crystaldiskmark to see how fast you are transferring data.

I know this is over, but is a very decent small system.
Kk, it will save you money anyway
It means you can overclock, but you need a z170 based motherboard for that, so go with a 6600 non k or go with a different Mobo
