I appreciate the input, guys! Thanks for your help!
Are you looking for built-in wifi on the motherboard? If not, there are some full ATX sized motherboards that seem pretty good; maybe this one? https://pcpartpicker.com/product/s9Gj4D/msi-motherboard-b150gamingm3
It would likely be easier to work on since it's larger and offers a better set of I/O, other than no onboard wifi...and could give you room for expansion later, if that's something you'd want.
But it's your call :) You can totally do a mini ITX build in a big case, if you want. It might just be cramped to work with. I'm not an expert, just wanted to toss my 2 cents your way :)
Any reason you're going for a full tower case but also a Mini ITX motherboard? I assume you have the case already, since it's not priced in the part list. It will just be cavernous with such a small setup inside...is it just for the MB Wifi?
That's a good point! That would be pretty cool. Guess for now you'd have to edit all the photos with description overlays before uploading them...sounds more tedious, haha. Anyway, cheers!
Thanks for checking out the build! Good find on the Vengeance...highly rated too. I'll have to look into that. Thanks again!
Beautiful! That hard work paid off :) +1!
Why didn't you want the front I/O? It looks cool with just the lone power button, but...just curious :)
Love the aesthetic! +1!
Love the cooler, and that color scheme is cool! +1!
Very cool--I like the story behind this one! +1 And the name and picture log--nice touches!
The S340 Elite comes with 2 fans in the rear, but I'd need 2 front, and the Thermaltake Riings are just gorgeous, so I'm thinking of just going for 4 to cover all the slots. I've got a friend I can pass the stock NZXT fans off to. I'm also not wild about LED strips, so having some internal lighting from the fans seemed ideal. Bit pricey for just a bunch of fans, but shrug...they look pretty...
Good call. I'm not stoked about the HDD cage on the S340, but I should look into it anyway. Much appreciated!
