Hopefully that Molex to SATA adapter doesn't short out and melt! You know what they say, Molex to Sata, Lose all your data.

You should post some pics of the inside of the case, also I don't trust Diablotek PSU's, they are known to actually explode.

The RX 470 is a much better choice than the GTX 1050ti, so keep your eyes set on that.

Comment reply on eggbongo's Completed Build: Budget Baby

It would be, I can't wait too see what Ryzen 3 Offers, because Ryzen 5 processors are already destroying Intel's Kaby Lake i5's right now, which I think is awesome. Here's hoping Ryzen 3 makes as much of an impact as Ryzen 5 and 7 does.

For a graphics card upgrade an RX 460, or RX 470 would be great for you! They get pretty cheap and they perform well for the price.

Comment reply on eggbongo's Completed Build: Budget Baby

Yes that would be a good CPU but I would also wait too see what the Ryzen R3 Processors bring to the table, they might obliterate Intel's Celerons/Pentiums/i3's for a cheaper price.

They are usually 20 bucks and LGA 771 Xeons that perform on par with 1st gen i7's are cheaper, they are awesome for budget builds.

Comment reply on fn230's Completed Build: The stray cat

Good build for a next to nothing price, I think you should do an LGA 771 to 775 mod on the motherboard to get a faster and cheaper Xeon in there, It could bring a bit more life outta the system for cheap, and then maybe throw in an RX 470 or 1050ti ;P

Dell boards work fine! But you do have to find a custom BIOS because making a custom Dell BIOS yourself is a ***** lol But just use google and I'm sure you could find the proper modifed Dell Bios.

I LOVE LGA 775 systems, It cleaned up really well!

I recently did a Xeon mod to my Dell Optiplex 780 SFF (My main build still lol) and I replaced the old Core 2 Duo e8500 with a Xeon X3363 and the performance boost is massive, I would do it again if I could.
