you will see alot of codes since the mobo will go through them all to check if everything is ok. It could be that the system will boot up several times for the first time.

If everything is ok with your first boot the first thing you should see is "No Bootable Device found press Fx to go to bios" or something. Just plug in your usb or disk for W10 reboot and then follow the steps to install Windows10 or whatever Operating System you intent to use.

No. Just install the cpu and before installing the cooler take a piece of paper and use some isopropyl alcohol to wipe the heat spreader (top of the cpu) clean.

I really need to know what cpu's those are. Is it a ryzen 5 3600? or a 2400g? anything else? I can't recommend anything if i don't know what cpu's those are.

All I have in the computer right now is the CPU, Motherboard, and Powersupply.

you also need atleast 1 stick of ram to try to boot.

Msi afterburner can't know how much psu power usage is because the RMx isn't connected with any monitoring cable so what msi afterburner is showing is simpy false.

750W is plenty for your build. 550W would also be plenty.

You said you have also another cpu what cpu is it?

Also what ryzen 5 cpu do you have?

Disconnect all storage. Keep only 1 RAM stick. make sure all cables are installed correctly. Make sure the gpu is seated correctly so take it out and install it again. ALso try different cables for monitor like hdmi or displayport.

Take out the gpu from mobo and install again. also Disconnect all storage. Keep only 1 RAM stick. If that doesn't work try another pcie slot for the gpu. If you have another gpu you can try that to. ALso try different cables for monitor like hdmi or displayport.

It could also be that you have an early bios version then it won't be boot because of the newer cpu.

There is nothing in your part list link. Would be good to know what parts you use and what that other cpu is that you have. Updating a bios is very simple. If in the future you manage to boot you go into bios and check the current bios number you are on. Then go to the manufacturer website of that mobo go to support (probably) and then download if needed the latest bios. put it on a USB stick go into bios again and install it.

Thats the short version but can tell more if i know what mobo and parts you are working with.

I don't know how big your monitors are, what resolution you want to go with or your budget but have you ever looked at these https://pcpartpicker.com/products/monitor/#r=512001440,384001080 monitors? Thats alot of screenspace with lesser cables.

But if you want 6 monitors or already have them you could go with 1 of these https://www.sapphiretech.com/en/gpro-explore for the monitors you do work with and a gpu for the monitors you game with. I think it should work not 100% sure tho.

You could also daisy chain 2-3 monitors on 1 hdmi port like https://www.dell.com/en-us/shop/accessories/apd/a8630012 same with display port https://www.dell.com/en-us/shop/accessories/apd/a7843262

Just wanted to say if you intent to buy the node 202 buy the one without psu since the psu in that one is ancient.

At this moment $69 thats pretty good really https://pcpartpicker.com/product/GsZ2FT/fractal-design-case-fdcanode202bk . DOn't think you can find any cheaper.

144fps at 1080p is not easy to archieve if you want to have it. You would probably atleast need a 2070 super. But ofcourse depending on the games you intent to play the limited factor then will be the cpu.

bottlenecks can happen with any cpu/gpu config it all depends on the game, resolution, refreshrate, etc...

For psu if you would go with a 2070 super could be https://pcpartpicker.com/product/9nmxFT/seasonic-prime-ultra-gold-550w-80-gold-certified-fully-modular-atx-power-supply-ssr-550gd2 or https://pcpartpicker.com/product/sMM323/evga-supernova-g3-550w-80-gold-certified-fully-modular-atx-power-supply-220-g3-0550 or https://pcpartpicker.com/product/bqVD4D/corsair-rmx-2018-550w-80-gold-certified-fully-modular-atx-power-supply-cp-9020177-na are all great psu's.

Am using at this moment a 2560x1440 144 Hz Monitor and a 1920x1080 60 Hz Monitor. The 144hz is connected with a displayport cable and the other with hdmi. They both work perfectly each with its own role and no conflicts.

The major differences with the rm850 are the less expensive bulk and filtering capacitors and the Hong Hua fan, instead of the proven NR135L which is used in all RMx units.

review https://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/corsair-rm650-power-supply,6187-6.html

rmx is a tiny bit better but not by much.

You also don't need 850W for your build a 550W would be plenty even if you would change that gtx 1060 for a rtx 2080ti but its your call if you really want a 850w psu for whatever reason.

So may i ask what your budget is for this psu then i can recommend one like that corsair cx450 i linked to.

The 1660 super is indeed faster then the rx 590. Ofcourse it costs also more.

Here is a performance chart https://www.techpowerup.com/review/sapphire-radeon-rx-5500-xt-pulse-4-gb/27.html . Your rx 480 is around the same as the rx 580 for comparison.

Comment reply on Forum Topic "Help what GPU to buy"

Rx590 is 10% faster then the 1650super and 5500xt so it's also a possibilty. It's not a doggy part it's the normal price for a rx590 and overclockers.co.uk is a good website.

If your computer shop worker doesn't know this then i would recommend to stay away from them.

Comment reply on Forum Topic "Help what GPU to buy"

The example i gave was the 1660 SUPER not the regular 1660. Nvidia's naming is not easy.

For £50 more anything superior then the 1660 SUPER? No the next tier of stronger gpu's are £100+ more like the RTX 2060 and RX 5700. They are 20%-25% faster then the 1660 SUPER. If it's worth it? Your choice to make.

If your psu is only 1 year old no need to change it now but i would recommend changing it at the end of the warranty because it's a budget model. Benefit of a newer one is that it has better internal components and has longer warranty. Good psu's have warranty of 10 years.

for $16 more you can have a 500gb ssd. https://pcpartpicker.com/product/rRCD4D/inland-480gb-25-solid-state-drive-480-gb-ssd faster and doesn't make any noise.

Best you can buy at that price range https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/product/dTMTwP/palit-geforce-gtx-1660-super-6-gb-stormx-video-card-ne6166s018j9-161f

Tier lower https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/product/tx2bt6/sapphire-radeon-rx-5500-xt-4-gb-pulse-video-card-11295-03-20g and https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/product/MdFKHx/gigabyte-geforce-gtx-1650-super-4-gb-windforce-oc-video-card-gv-n165swf2oc-4gd

The 5500 xt and 1650super have the same performance and also same performance as the rx480. But remember that 1660 super is 20%-30% better then the 1650super and 5500xt.

Also do you have any warranty left on that rx480? And maybe also start to save up to replace that psu. I think it was first released in 2012-2013 with 3 years warranty.
