and here official AMD response on reddit:
short version: 1 card was at 100% and the other at 51%.
i5 6500+r9 380x. But if you can wait a bit get i5 6500+RX 480
if you can wait just wait.
for 1080p: RX 480 will destroy it but wil do well on 1440p to.
Best performance on 1440p: GTX 1070. Will be overkill for 1080p i would think.
Looks promising can't wait!
Looks great to me.
The R9 390 is a great card for 1080p. I would also personally switch the NEX PSU for EVGA SuperNOVA G2 650W. Rest looks great.
For gaming take the i5 6600k. Most games depend on GPU power less on CPU power.
Nice blue build. Love it!! +1!!
when 1 build is not enough!! great builds tho!!
good list. Altho the Seasonic is a good PSU but its already a 4 year old PSU (if am not mistaken) so i would just switch it to a EVGA SuperNOVA GS 550W for example.
Personally if you don't plan on using 6 cores then it would be a waste of money really (my opinion).
If you will be using this build just for gaming then you can switch that i7 6700k for a i5 6600k and you should be good for the coming years.

No. not even with a GTX 1080
they perform the same really.
Sexy build. Love it!! +1!!
crossfire could be important in VR. 1 card for each eye and around or even better performance then a GTX 1080 for 400-500$ is a great deal tho.
at this moment its the best bang for the buck card (depending what you wanne do ofcourse). Now lets wait how the GTX 1060 will perform ;)
RX 480 is not aimed at out performing GTX 1070 and GTX 1080. RX 480 is a card made as an entry level and affordable card for VR. It will destroy 1080p and do well on 1440p since its performance will be inbetween the GTX 970 and GTX 980. And all that for 199$.
This is for the moment the only card AMD has currently released.
I7 6700k is Z170 platform.
I7 6800k is X99 platform
RX 480 release june 29 with a starting price of 199$ with a performance between the GTX 970 and GTX 980 should be perfect for this build ;)
looks great btw +1!!
I think CF could be important for VR with each eye having 1 card if am not mistaken.
they both destroy 1080p so for that i would take the 480.
the GTX 1070 will be a better experience for 1440p but i expect the 480 to do very good on 1440p but i would just wait for benchmarks.
can't wait to see benchmarks from the board partners!
ECC stands for Error Correction Code. Memory with it will look through the data looking for errors and if it finds some it will correct them.
SeaSonic S12II 520W https://pcpartpicker.com/part/seasonic-power-supply-s12ii520bronze
Same price range would be the GTX 960 but the r9 380 performs in most cases better.
aah yes that could be it. Waiting for a review to see ;)
when you have the money to buy the parts you want.
they both give around the same performance. But when the board partners come with their version i expect the GTX 1070 to perform a bit better then the GTX 980ti.
huge difference between the two. the seasonic one is alot better.
great sites to look for PSU prices in Belgium and the Netherlands: http://be.hardware.info/ http://tweakers.net/
for example: http://be.hardware.info/product/271253/seasonic-s12ii-520w-v2 Great PSU for around 60euro.
second hand yes. But since they won't be making them again i don't think the stores will let the prices drop much for unused cards.
10 june is the start for GTX 1070 founders edition to go on sale.
will take a couple weeks more when they are available everywhere.
pic here for the GTX 1080 HOF: https://www.techpowerup.com/222931/galax-geforce-gtx-1080-hall-of-fame-pictured
i will probably wait for the GTX 1080ti any news about that JJ? I won't tell anyone else promise ;)
Fouders edition is just the reference card. Its is the standard card.
i just wouldn't buy the founders edition but just one with a board partner cooler on. Rest looks great!
ofcourse it will fit why wouldn't it be?
230$? thats a good price i would say. If you are gaming on 1080p its perfect. Would do well in 1440p to.
it is a possibility yes. But beware if you open up your GPU you will void your warranty. So if you want to check it out i suggest contacting MSI first.
94c is a bit to hot. Unless you live in a desert or something.
are the fans running at 100%? Sofware up to date? If so i think you must RMA the card because after 30min to 94C is not normal.
the fans are spinning? how is the airflow in your case?
look at the gigabyte: http://be.hardware.info/nieuws/48081/eerste-aangepaste-gtx-1080s-van-nvidia-partners-lekken-uit now thats special.
founders edition is just the reference card. Nothing more and nothing less. S0 you need to pay 100$ more for a reference card. So i would just wait to buy a card from 1 of the board partners.
Well paying more for a reference card that really gets hot and starts to throttle unless you ramp up the cooler which makes alot of noise is in my opinion not a good idea. I would just wait for 1 of the board partners.
for a first time it looks amazing well done! +1!!
Don't buy the founders edition.
