Like I said in the write up, the CPU was second hand out of my old rig and it's price in the parts list includes the Motherboard, RAM and PSU. If there's any argument that the second hand bundle isn't worth $400, I didn't charge for materials used in the custom work or labor. When I bought the 4670k the 1600X didn't exist. I would agree that there's real value in the AMD lineup in 2019, but try getting all that for $400 AUD. When I was putting together a parts list initially I did consider AMD, but once again I had parts on hand.
Storage drives really came down to what I could afford at the time and what was actually available. The first M.2 I had was a Crucial 128G. I've had 3 other WD HDD's in it over the years... yeah mismatched about right unfortunately, but hey, it does the job.
I've been planning to get a Corsair power supply for a while now and sexy up all the wiring but that old Antec just keeps going.
I've been an asus fan boy for years.. but the msi board may have changed that. I like that its a big board. The mystic lighting system turned out not to be of any use unfortunately. It was a very enjoyable build. The GPU and Mobo are top picks for white builds!
ty, i cant help but lean back an admire it sitting on her desk
